Dr Mandla Yawa's story brings hope to families touched by Marikana tragedy

When Mandla Yawa’s brother was killed in the 2012 Marikana tragedy, he experienced a lot of different emotions. His grief turned to anger and then unimaginable pain. But over the last 10 years, Mandla has managed to acquire four university degrees, including a PhD in animal science — all to honour his late brother Cebisile Yawa.
