EAST PALESTINE — Another Dollar General Store may be planned for a location along state Route 14.
Village Manager Mark McTrustry told council during the live-streamed Monday council meeting that there are plans for a store in that area within Unity Township.
“It is my understanding there will be a second store in the area,” he said.
East Palestine currently has a Dollar General at 113 N. Market St., however that building is currently up for sale, according to Councilman Alan Cohen.
Cohen said the downtown location is listed with a Cleveland commercial rest estate firm for $495,000 and that there is just under four years left on the current lease.
