A dalmatian got into deep trouble Wednesday morning when it fell into a dry well on a Tilden Township property.
The dog, owned by Annette L. Reppert, was chasing a small wild animal over a 16-acre property in the 300 block of Creamery Road when the mishap occurred, Officer Frank Cataldi of the township police department said.
The property also is owned by Reppert, Berks County tax records confirm.

Cataldi said the land is part of a former farm, and the abandoned well was hidden by overgrowth.
“The dalmatian fell about 10 feet, but was not injured,” the officer said.
