Mike Haggar has a long legacy in the world of Capcom games. Making his debut back in 1989 with the original Final Fight, Haggar has gone on to make more playable appearances in the series' titles and find a presence in several other Capcom games.
Oddly enough, the mayor of Metro City has never made his way into a main Street Fighter title as a playable character, but he has been referenced and even made a small cameo in some of them before. Top Hat Gaming Man recently put together an extensive history on the pro wrestler turned politician, and in it we learn more about Haggar's history with the Street Fighter franchise.
