runway had been plowed two other planes landed safely there. the flight arriving from atlanta at 11:00 a.m. it veered off the runway the nose of the plane plowing through a fence coming to a stop feet from the water. >> we have an aircraft off the runway. >> it is closed the airport is closed. >> we have127 passengers and five crew members on board safely evacuated by sliding down the wing. 24 people were treated for minor injuries including three sent to the hospital. the plane's left wing broke causing a minor fuel leak which was quickly contained. passengers describe the moment of impact saying once landing the plane started rocking side to side and was going too fast. a terrifying experience but everywall everyone remained calmed and praised the pilots for quick thinking. >> i felt like the pilot was in control.
