let's get to it. breaking news shepard smith reporting live from the fox news desk. and the breaking news this hour from the deck, a federal judge just ordered the former virginia governor, bob mcdonnell, to spend two years in prison for the punishment for the former governor's conviction in public corruption charges. it's far less than the ten years in the slammer that the prosecutors had originally recommended. but his defense team was hoping to avoid prison altogether and requested that the three years of community service would be just fine. a jury convicted bob mcdonnell and his wife of corruption for accepting more than $165,000 in gifts, including a $20,000 shopping spree, a rolex watch, and free catering for their daughter's wedding. the governor admitted he did accept the gifts but insisted he did nothing in return for them. the sentencing for former governor mcdonnell's wife is scheduled for next month. now, the judge told the former governor he had just over a month to report for prison.
