probably end up with a short-term proposal over, you know, a few months. and we will be having the same discussion again in the fall. >> there is no way on god's green earth you are going to balance the budget until you put entitlements on the table like ronald reagan and tip o'neill. >> vice president biden is leading a bipartisan commission trying to cut a long-term deal. many republicans say up the age for entitlemen entitlement eli. democrats say hands off, make smaller reforms. if they are going to save trillions they have to come up with some type of agreement on entitlements. they want it in place before june so congress has a chance to vote on it. even if the principles do sign on they will have to sell it to the rank and file. too many cuts means democrats will torpedo it. raising taxes means republicans will likely do the same. something they do agree on, the deficit level is staggering.
