the search for more possible victims goes on as we speak. fire officials tell us there were about 50 people inside the plant at the time of the blast. laura ingle joins us by phone from middletown with the latest. >> reporter: assessing the damage and trying to get a head count. that is what is going on inside the kleen energy power plant. we've been told fire bie fire officials, they are trying to get together for emergency responders who are sifting through the debris left behind from this morning's explosion. it happened at approximately 11:18 a.m. it was under construction. it was off line and was being built to produce energy primarily using natural gas. the mayor says workers from the construction company were purging the gas lines, a procedure called a blow-down when this occurred.
