road germy well i mean my publication economist said that we think a jamaican coalition would be better and i think the best argument for that is to sort of look ahead to the next election twenty twenty one and ask what does germany look like then and i guess my concern is looking at the polls is a very good chance that the f.t. will be the third largest party in the bundestag this time around this time around . a grand coalition would then make that the largest opposition party would be the alexander gallon the likely leader of that faction in the bundestag would be the most prominent opposition voice in germany i think it's very dangerous special powers and privileges without supervision and prominence is the role in german life i think that that's not to be underestimated. and then you have as much said there are these sort of long term structural challenges perhaps the grand coalition would make some progress on these on the other hand while it has achieved various things over the last four years i don't think it's confronted some of the bigger and more difficult challenges germany like for example euro zone reform and so i worry that
