it is just beyond what we expect of ourselves right now in this current system. i picked up that little girl just like picking up one of my own. there is no difference between kids. there is no difference between people. she is smiling and happy because she's too young to know how terrible her situation is, how desperate it is. she doesn't understand what's in her mother's eyes, but you do, and i do. and that's why we must do better, and the only way that happens is for all of us to do our job. the media has got to show you. you've got to feel a way about it. you've got to respond and watch. you have to call for accountability. the lawmakers can't get away with a typical political pablum, and then there might be action. that's the best we can do, but it's surely a hell of a lot better than what we're doing right now. thank you for watching this tonight. i appreciate you for doing that.
