this may be just an attempt by the lawyers to bring the spotlight again to this case. but there could be something in it, as well. >> let me add another level of intrigue here. you know, is this going to fuel speculation that the suspected russian agents held in the united states were set up to secure the release of the agents held by russia? >> it's so convoluted, isn't it? there's all sorts of possible permutation that is can happen. it's difficult to keep up. but, yes, this is one of the other strands of speculation coming out, that this whole spy saga in the united states was, in fact, a set-up by the americans, in order to set up a situation where they could exchange those spies in the u.s. for the actual spies that are in detention and have been arrested and convicted in russia in a kind of -- you know, kind of -- sounds like it comes out of the pages of a cold war spy thriller.
