Denver halts plans for GardaWorld to run city's migrant shelters

Denver is not moving forward with plans to hire a private security company to take over the city's migrant sheltering efforts, Mayor Michael Hancock's office announced Thursday, less than two weeks after backlash began over the proposed $40 million contract.
