India's national capital Delhi sweltered amid intense heatwave conditions on Friday (May 31) and occupied the top three hottest places in the country.

Mungeshpur emerged as the hottest place in the country after recording 49.6 degrees Celsius which was followed by Narela where temperature soared to 49.4 degrees Celsius and west Delhi's Najafgarh which recorded 49.2 degrees Celsius.
