A 26-year-old Dayton man was arrested and faces felony charges of battery on a police officer and probation violation after he allegedly punched a Carson City deputy twice in the face with a closed fist. Christopher Scholl was arrested at 2 a.m., Thursday in the 1700 block of Fair Way after a foot chase with officers.
