A lack of exercise opportunities at child care programs might be contributing to childhood obesity rates in the United States. New research suggests most day care programs are not meeting national guidelines for physical activity. Toddlers and preschoolers need at least three hours of physical activity each day to aid their physical, psychological and social development.
