Daniel Hillier drains clutch putt to qualify for next month's Open Championship

Kiwi Daniel Hillier has qualified for his second major, the British Open next month.
However, Nigel Hillier said his son’s resolve and determination shown since Covid-19 struck last year meant his latest feat was particularly satisfying.

Daniel Hillier is ranked 668th in the world, and has had a disrupted start to his pro career due to Covid-19.
“This one probably sticks out as the most special day for him,” Nigel Hillier said.
“Given his pro career was stalled by Covid, and he’s been training by himself with nothing to train for for 13 months. We’re really proud how he’s got through.”
