Thank you very much. You have asked to see what is going on at our meetings and i figured to let you come in and you will look and see that we have a lot of good things happening. We have tremendous progress on vaccines and therapeutics we are getting reports and studying the reports very closely. I think people will be pleasantly surprised with what is going on the vaccine front and the therapeutic front. That is always the first topic. Secondarily, but very importantly, we are working and negotiating with the democrats on trying to get a plan that helps Small Businesses and helps people and helps this country and i think we have made a lot of progress on that in the discussions are going on. Steve, would you like to say a few words as to where we are . Yes, mr. President print mark and i have worked very hard over the last two weeks with mitch and kevin on what we see as the focus as kids and jobs, the recovery act, paris 4. 0 and we have spent an unprecedented amount of money in the good news is a lot of it, three chilean dollars, we still have left to put in the economy and put back to work. We are focused on a starting with another trillion dollars and we think that will make a big impact and the focus, as i said, is about kids and jobs and vaccines. We will make sure that we have a vaccine by the end of the year for emergency use. The plan is we just updated the president and Vice President. They signed off on this. Mark and i will be meeting tomorrow with the republicans at the lunch to give them a full briefing and then we will also be reaching out to the democrats to begin our discussions but we are committed that by the and of this month make sure that before the enhanced Unemployment Insurance expires that that we pass legislation so we can protect americans that are unemployed and we have said the number one issue is and we have to fix the technical fix on enhanced unemployment. We will make sure that we dont pay people more money to stay home then go to work. We want to make sure that people who can go to work safely can do so and we will add tax credits that incentivize businesses to bring people back to work and have tax credits for people p. M. He, for safe work environments and we will have big incentives, money to the states for education for schools that can open safely and do education but these are the priorities as well as Liability Protection. We want to make sure frivolous lawsuits dont prevent schools, universities and businesses from reopening. Mike. Mr. President , i just want to say how much we appreciate the leadership in the house and senate on todays conversation is a continuation of your commitment to do whatever it takes to get the mac and people, american businesses and communities through this very challenging time. The outbreaks across the sunbelt are serious but because of the support we have had from, frankly, leaders in both Political Parties and the congress of the United States we are meeting this moment with expanded testing, personal protective equipment and, as you said mr. President , with the developer and an distributional of therapeutics and a Rapid Development of vaccines that will all continue. It is important the Congress Come together in provide Additional Resources for families that a been impacted, businesses that have been impacted and we will make sure healthcare workers in our states have the resources that they need but also, mr. President , we will continue to advance policies that will make it possible for us to open up america again and open on up america schools. I look forward, as you do, working with leaders that are gathered here and members of congress in both Political Parties to deliver another important element of a recovery package that will keep on working until we bring our country all the way back and reach that day that we someday put this coronavirus in the past. Yeah, tomorrow begins the process of socializing what we have been discussing with the administration over the last two weeks with our members and if you are looking for a theme here, Liability Protection for those trying to deal with the pandemic and we dont need an epidemic of lawsuits on the heels of the pandemic that we are already struggling with. Kids in school, jobs and healthcare would be the theme of the proposal that we hope to come together and present our republicans and as a secretary of the treasury indicated, you cant pass a bill in the Senate Without the democrats and we will begin to talk with them as well. I mean, just to sum up what we are looking at, if youre sitting at home and concerned they dont have a job we want to make sure you are able to come back, we dont think any federal money should be spent to give you disincentive to work. We want to make sure you have incentives to keep going but for those Small Businesses we want to make sure you can stay open. We want to make sure your kids can go back to school but go back safely, not just for the children but for the teachers as well. We continue to make strides to make sure we get to a vaccine and we find a cure for this virus that we did not invite that came from a foreign land. I think that is the focus that we have to be a part of. Mitch talks about and i think its fundamental, not just for schools but for any businesses striving whether they can open back up or not, they should not have an attack from any lawsuits. We need to give them protection that we rebuild, restore and renew this country to where we were before and i know we can do it together and that is why we are working here and we will reach out to the democrats and i hope at that moment in time that they could put politics aside and then we look at one nation we dont sit back and see the rule within a Senate Minority denies the ability to have this debate that denies the ability to help america unite and solve this problem once and for all paid we are making Great Strides when it comes to therapy and what this work speed history will write about and when we get to the moment in time that we have this vaccine they will write about how fast and no other country could do what we did because the ingenuity of this nation and that is the focus of what were trying to do, the safety of his country for our students, for teachers and for our businesses that we are back to work again stronger and safer and more united. It came from china and it should never have been allowed to get out and they could have stopped it. They could have stopped it easily but they chose not to. I spoke with the president of france this morning and i spoke with the president of egypt and we had a very, very good conversation, both of us and all of us together have had many conversations with the leaders all over the world over the weekend and over the last couple of weeks in particular and this is the pandemic that is flaring up all over the place and the countries thought they were in good shape and then all of a sudden they have a big flareup. I see over the weekend i guess on friday there was a record worldwide number of deaths, worldwide because when you watch the news, local news and you see it and its like all about the United States. They never like to talk about whats going on the world but you look at mexico, brazil, many countries in europe, all over, russia, russia has a terminus problem and what is going on is terrible. This is a worldwide problem and we are helping the word with ventilators and helping a lot of countries that dont have ventilators and we are sending thousands of ventilators to Different Countries but i do want people to understand this is a worldwide problem. Caused by china but a worldwide problem. Countries are going through hell and it is going to we will give you a lot of briefings in the next week and over the next few weeks as to, i think its important, about the vaccines and therapeutics but i will bring some of the Great Companies that are working and very successfully in the past to work on these things and they will tell you very specifically what they are doing and how they are doing but we think we are doing very well in that regard. Those two items, i think frankly therapeutics i like almost better at this point that you go in and make people better. We have had some very good luck with rem does of your and that has been successful but others have been successful in the plasma has been successful but we are really coming up with some very good answers meaning they are all over the world and were working very closely all over the world for the vaccines and the therapeutics. We will have some of the heads of these Great Companies coming in, Johnson Johnson is doing very well in particular and they seem to be doing very well but numerous are doing very well. It is something i really feel certain and i guess you can never be totally certain but pretty am certain that they will have the vaccine and they will have therapeutics and will start taking place very shortly and that will be a great thing for the world but this is happening all over the world, not just the United States and its a tough one, very tough, very sad when you see the death. All data that could has been stop by china. If they had wanted to stop it they could have stopped it. Okay, thank you very much. [inaudible conversations] how important is the payroll tax cut . I think its a very important thing and i think it is good. It has been proven to be successful and it is a big saving for the people. Its a tremendous saving and i think its an incentive for companies to hire the workers back into keep their workers but payroll tax cut to me is very important. We are working on it. I dont think its too much dispute as to the level of importance. Its a very important thing. That is one of many elements we are discussing, we are discussing probably a total of ten different elements but payroll tax cuts are very important. I think hopefully we will get there but were talking about a lot of things, not just the payroll tax cut. [inaudible question] we had very successful briefings. I was doing them and then we had a lot of people watching, record numbers watching and history of cable television, television has never been anything like it and we were doing very well and i thought it would be automatic and a lot of positive things were happening and frankly, a lot of the country is doing well, a lot of people will say that you dont understand but we have this big flareup in florida, texas and a couple other places and so i think what we are going to do is i will get involved we will start doing briefings, whether it is this afternoon or tomorrow probably tomorrow and i will do briefings. Part of the briefing, i think much more so than us on because last time we were nowhere with vaccines and therapeutics. Lets say that ended six weeks ago and we will start them again i think its a great way to get information out to the public as to where we are with the vaccines and with the therapeutics and generally speaking where we are and so i think we will start that probably starting tomorrow but i will do it at 5 00 oclock like we were doing and we had a good slot and a lot of people were watching and that is a good thing for it i think kaylee will continue hers at 11 00 oclock just like they were and i will be discussing the, as i call it the china virus, china plague and i will be discussing it and i will also be discussing perhaps some other things. We are doing very well in so many different ways but unfortunately this is something that is very tough and we will get us all. I think we will get involved in numerous ways but the two best would be vaccines and therapeutics. We will be having that. On portland and other cities that are experiencing violence there was a report out this morning that you are considering sending 175 federal troops to the cities to help local launch was meant, can you fill on that . It depends on what your definition of federal troops. Portland was totally out of control and the democrats and the liberal democrats were unable and they had no idea what they were doing. They were ripping down for 51 days ripping down that study, losing it and the level of corruption and what was going on there is incredible and on the governor comes up and says we dont need help. How about chicago . The numbers many People Killed over the weekend and we are looking and chicago, looking at new york and look at what is going on. All run by democrats, all run by very liberal democrats, all run early biological left. We cant let this happen to the city. New york was up through the 40 in a crime wave so the governor has to do something about it and if the governor is not going to do something about it we will do something about it. But what is happening in new york from a place i love and i love new york and look at what is going on over there. The woman shot because she said could you please not light off firecrackers and they turned around and shot her eight times and she died. Thats not our civilization but that is not about us. Then the police are afraid to do anything. I knew no york very well end of the police very well. New yorks finest and the fact is they are restricted from doing anything bring they cant do anything. What will you do . I will do something, that i can tell you. We will not let detroit, philadelphia, baltimore, new york and all of these oakland, there is a mess, we will not let this happen in our country but all run by liberal democrats. [inaudible question] in portland theyve done a fantastic job and they been there three days they really have done a fantastic job in a very short period of time. No problem did they grab them and a lot of people in jail but these are anarchist, these are not protesters. People say protesters but these people are anarchist. These are people that hate our country and we will not let it go forward. I tell you what, the governor and the mayor and the senators out there they are afraid of these people. That is a reason they dont want us to help them. I believe there may even be physically afraid of these people. What they are doing is incredible. We did not just go there. It wasnt like it started right away. We went there after 51 days and we said we cant let that happen anymore but these are anarchists and the politicians out there, yes they are weak but they are afraid of these people and they are afraid of these people and that is why they say we dont want the federal government helping so how about chicago . Would you say they need help after this weekend . Do you know the numbers . Many, many shot, many, many killed. Im not talking about one, two or was it 18 People Killed . I think more than that and you added up over the summer and this is worse than afghanistan far and this is worse than anything anyone has ever seen. All run by the same liberal democrats and if biden got in that would be to for the country, the whole country would go to hell. We will not let it go to hell. Thank you very much.
