Yes Winston Churchill really was a lifelong politician with a stint in the military donald trump of course was a businessman they both had different backgrounds but they were fluid in the early years with their political affiliations that they had but what both men had in common way is a lot of the average everyday ordinary person and they had sentiments that resonated with the people of the times in the movie that darkest hour a couple years ago many of the reviewers wed remake member the scene where Winston Churchill goes into the two men he visits with the regular commuters and he had that great relationship with the average person and again rather surprisingly Winston Churchill was born into money and in the same way donald trump was us businessman through what he does and very relatable donald trump junk food Winston Churchill obviously ate too much like we do on occasion these are all things that we all look at as humans to say a few of the things that i do hes pretty normal. So i think both men went to ensure of what has happened in the country stays that way as a throw back to earlier eras that people find comfortable supposed then i think believed in the west end in western civilization and in the values in the believe system in the models that are contained within the west. My father is a massive Winston Churchill fan when i was just eight years old he gave me a book of Winston Churchill speeches and instructed me to reread as many times as i possibly could because theres no one better to learn from with the speechwriting and giving. So when i was in the eighth grade one of my best friends to this day came and gave me a copy of the art of the deal that is where my lifelong adoration began with President Trump. I was familiar with both men early given the united kingdoms relationship with australia someone that features prominently in history class. Although i will say that americans are very familiar and its rather atypical its fair to say most dont take that much of an interest in terms of leaders because america is so powerful cares whats going on elsewhere. And with that political culture donald trump is a maverick but and in england it was really remarkable for someone like Winston Churchill to come along and that has timidity in moderation. I wanted to write something that gave a Historical Perspective on the Trump Presidency because so much has been shared and written from all sides about donald trump and his administration but very little so far and that is understandable considering we are only three and a half years in to his time in office. We dont know what will happen november this year i remain sanguine about his prospects nobody has really written what donald trump will look like in history and i found that to be a rather interesting proposition and one that i decided to explore we did in depth three years ago now i was on the trump train from day number one when we rode down the escalator and from reading the art of the deal i felt with the environment that existed in america at the time that a noble politician no matter how articulate or how well presented wouldnt cut it and that america really needed a sledgehammer of sorts to change things and ultimately to be accurate with that that was as good fortune as well as obviously some good judgment there at the time. Ive always been a big trump guy and ultimately as time goes on he will be very much of a van gogh type of president that comes from the artist who while he was alive he wasnt considered that much with his artwork then after he died he came into fashion the same way history will look kindly on donald trump and what he is doing right now and the first level of acrimony in many cases with the hatred that so many had for him i dont think that will be the case in a couple of decades from now and the claim that i make in my book will be the first to concede it is remarkably bold that we are only 20 years into this century that i do think if he does get elected another four years that he will have an impact of such magnitude the greatest speaker of this century that i believe churchill was of the 20th.
