I have already met some people that have been absolutely devastated. This was a tremendous leap powerful storm. In fact, when a command, it was actually much bigger than katrina, i would say. Landmark ing a terms of the devastation, but this had more power. This one coming it almost as a 53. 5 offshore, winds up to 185 at one point. I do not know if we have ever seen that. We are joined by Governor John Bel Edwards and senator kennedy, two friends of mine, who have , and actingstic job home and security, who is no longer acting, and my mind, because he got a promotion. He deserves it. He has been doing a great job. Dont talk to me anymore. Right there is the man. [laughs] and fema administrator p pete dana. We have a lot of different elements happening, but he has to take care of louisiana. We have to take care of texas. Texas got a little bit lucky. Thanks also to memos of congress that are here. What is the difference would you say in terms of storms coming in now compared to many years ago . [inaudible] this one came in as a category 4. Pres. Trump quickly. Thats right. [inaudible] pres. After speaking with you and john tierney i went to recognize cassidy and congressman ralph abraham, two great people. ,ill has gone through a problem but i spoke to him the other day, and it sounds like he is doing well. He has been with, along with john, a terrific senator. A hurricane laura was category 4 storm, and it was actually, for a little while at 5. It was up to 175, almost 180 miles an hour. Few people have every been heard of that, with winds currently, when it came in, it was at 150 most per hour, at landfall, damaging thousands of homes and causing hundreds of road blockages and mayor power outages, and i heard, i think this is correct, it was the most powerful storm coming in and hitting your land in 150 years, coming in. [inaudible] pres. Trump they put their finger up, correct . I just visited the cajun navy and the relief center. They are fantastic. We are looking to restore water to 180,000 residents and protect energy star tribune i want to thank the minimum of fema and First Responders and law enforcement, which we love and cherish, and they are doing a fantastic job and dont get the kind of recognition that they should get, but actually they do, because the people of them, right . But people love them, and we appreciate our law enforcement. Our hearts go out to the families that have lost loved ones. What would you say is the number right now, john . Amazing. It is a tremendous number, but you were thinking it could have been a lot worse. [inaudible] pres. Trump amazing. So 15 years ago this week, louisiana was devastated by hurricane katrina. That seems to be katrina seems to be the standard, it seems to be the one that is it actually today . 15 years ago today. And whether you come from louisiana or fifth avenue in new york city, you know all about katrina, right . That was a bad, bad deal, and devastation. Now, the devastation was far greater, even though the storm probably was not as powerful. Are your levies now in good shape . Gov. Edwards the best ever. Pres. Trump the best ever. That is good.
