Heck of ant is a accomplishment and want to feel good about, and one new yorkers elll be proud of one to fe good about, and one new yorkers will be proud of, which is what new yorkers are about, being tough, unified, smart, and loving. So maybe the life you saved is not your own, but you saved a life. That is not a bad day spending one day or 56 days. Questions . You mentioned taking a regional approach in new york state to reopening things, but does not not undermined the approach of coordinating with the other states to reopen things when one state in itself could take various approaches. Gov. Cuomo good question, and you are right. That is why it has to be balanced with the tristate approach. Has beentate approach expanded to the other states, we have seven states. Understanding the individuality of a region within that context. You can look at one region, north country, central, new york , and say on our numbers, we are ok. Ok, on your numbers, as a region. But, people have cars and people are mobile, and people have been cooped up, and whatever you do, you could trigger a reaction in that tristate area. From thatsee people tristate area come to your ion because you are not you are now the place i can get a haircut and walked on main street and go in and get an Ice Cream Cone and have the kids go in and shop. That is the balance to all of this. That is what we are working through. [inaudible] gov. Cuomo thats exactly right. The whole discussion is premature, but it is something we are working through right now. We are working with the state coalition, working with regional coalitions, and we will marry the two, if not marry them, they will be engaged for a period of time. [inaudible] one of the founding principles oflaid out is the importance [inaudible] and then really honing in the tristate area with new jersey and connecticut. It wont necessarily that it works out perfectly, but what that was one of the major we are working towards coming to a consensus on principle, there is acknowledgment that everyone is on their own timeline. Major goal is not to undermine anyones success. That was an extension from march 16 and than april 12 and then april 12th. Gov. Cuomo at the pharmacies will be diagnostic test. Not antibody tests. You will be able to go into a pharmacy and get a test word test. It to amacy then sends lab and the lab conducts the test. The lab conducts, pharmacy collects. Infections,of new has been five weeks since the new york on pause order took effect. We are seeing like 1300 people coming into the hospital. Do we have any demographics or research on who is getting affected . Are they people infected by family members, communities . Know on the hospitalization data how many people are coming to a hospital. You know what hospital they go into and where that hospital is i dont know if you have demographic data. Gov. Cuomo to beget demographics . Do we get demographics . We know what hospital they are going to. Assuming the hospital they are going into is located near where they live. But we dont know where they are getting sick. They dont know either, by the way. When somebody walks in the hospital and you say where did you contact the virus, they are not going to know. We could present to the public every day the hospitalizations and things like that. Patient data get submitted with much greater lag, but for us it was the hospitals and percentages. Specifics comes in, but much more slowly and that will be more retrospective. We looked for just the raw numbers. Is why the Contact Tracing is going to be so help. Helpful. Were going to learn a lot about how they were exposed and a lot of information. Seems like a lot of staffing homes had problems. Are you sure they were providing quality care . This with addressed Nursing Homes and continue to reach out. Any concern, we were contacted and reached out to them. As i mentioned, we actually did video checks to make sure they were doing everything correctly. ,s the governor said previously if there was a concern, they needed to look into it. Clearly, going into this, there just werent enough people. Gov. Cuomo thats not clear. I did nursing home investigations as the attorney. There is a constant tension with Nursing Homes. State, to thethe public. Were they providing a service and getting paid for service . The tension is, or they providing that service were they providing that service . There were video cameras in howents rooms to see anytime staff was coming in. If they were doing what they were supposed to do etc. This has been a field of regulation and scrutiny that goes back decades. Its a field that, when you look at past, there have been quote unquote nursing home scandals in so it is a big staple of what they do. This crisis overwhelmed the Nursing Homes, and when i say no , a virus of prey on Vulnerable People and the concentration of people, well, the regulation still applies. And for the Nursing Homes, one of the central regulations is that if you cannot provide appropriate care cap patient, you must transfer that patient, period. Rule. S the and if you cannot find a place to transfer the patient the department of health will find a way to transport that. But that rule does not change. You can say, look, i cant provide care because of this pandemic, because my staff is out ill, because i cant quarantine. Whatever reason. , youu cant provide care are not supposed to be keeping that person in your facility. Is what most of this is going to come down to. There are other regulations also. You have to inform patients and their family. Staff wasnd your this did not waive any of the regulations of good conduct of business. They have limited access to testing. Atwe are offering testing pharmacies, why not the same thing at American Homes . Nursing homes could do testing, we have done 28 sites for Nursing Homes and we are expanding that by another 15.
