[cheers and applause] sen. Warren wow [cheers and applause] this is amazing. Ok. You. Hello, New Hampshire democrats. [cheers and applause] sen. Warren ok. Ok. Thank you. This means the world to me. [cheers and applause] thought in i never would get into politics, but the first lesson i learned is no one does this on their own. Volunteeryou to every , every organizer, every doorknocker, every phone banker, every five dollars donor. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. This is how we build a movement. [cheers and applause] and thank you to our chair, ray buckley, who makes it happen every day. And my great partner in the United States senate, Maggie Hassan and jeanne shaheen. Go, jeanne. [cheers and applause] grew up out so, i in oklahoma in a paychecktopaycheck family. I have had the same dream since second grade. I wanted to be a Public School teacher. There is. There it is. My path was a little bumpy. My family did not have any money. I dropped out of school at 19 and got married, but my big chance was what was then a Community College that was 45 and its away and cost 50 a semester. Away and cost 50 a semester. I became my dream job of a special needs teacher. [speaking korean] [cheers and applause] for anyone here who does not really know teachers, let me tell you two things about us. We are afraid we are not afraid, and we never give up. [cheers and applause] sen. Warren so, here is the fight we are in right now. We need to win in 2020. Anybody here want to win in 2020 . [cheers and applause] sen. Warren so, lets talk about how its done. , we need to talk honestly about what is broken in america. We have a country that has worked great for the wealthy and leaving everybody else behind. We have a country where our economy, our democracy, our governance are working for those with money and not so much for anyone else. When you see a government that works for the rich and not for anyone else, that is corruption, and we need to call it out for what it is. [cheers and applause] sen. Warren corruption. Pick any issue, tax breaks that favor the rich. Environmental regulations that favor polluters. Racial wealth gaps that holdback families. The list goes on. Child care, health care. Whatever decision gets you up in the morning, whatever issue rings you into the fight, here is what i guarantee. If there is a decision to be made in washington, it has been influenced by money. It has been shaped by money. It has been decided by money. So, here is what we have to do. We start by calling out honestly what is broken, the corruption in the system, and then we show we have plans to fix it. [cheers and applause] here is my view. You really want to change something, then you had better have a plan to get it done. [cheers and applause] sen. Warren and heres what i want to change. I want an economy that does not just work for those at the top. That means we need more power in the hands of workers. Make it easy to join a union and give unions more power when they negotiate. Unions build americas middle rebuildnd unions will americas middle class. And theres another way that we can make this economy work for everyone. It is time for a wealth tax in america. [cheers and applause] sen. Warren yep. 2 10]chanting sen. Warren heres how it works. Your first 50 million, free and clear [cheers] sen. Warren said some of you. Million and first dollar, you have to pitch in to sense, and two cents for every dollar after that. Two cents. [cheers and applause] this hits the top 1 10 of 1 of great fortunes in this country. And what can we do with two cents . We could do universal childcare for every baby in this country. [cheers and applause] sen. Warren universal prek for every threeyearold and fouryearold in this country. Whos in . [cheers and applause] of. Warren raise the wages every childcare worker in preschool teacher in this country. Two cents [cheers and applause] sen. Warren we can do all of that, and we can make technical school, Community College, and Fouryear College free for anyone who wants an education. Two cents [cheers and applause] and we can be real about leveling the playing field. 15 billion into our historically black colleges and universities. Two cents [cheers and applause] sen. Warren and just one more i will mention. We can do all of that and cancel Student Loan Debt for 95 of folks who got it. [cheers and applause] sen. Warren two sets cents so, there it is. We talk about what is broken and we show our plans to make real change, plans that touch peoples lives. Third, we build a movement to make it happen, all across this country. [cheers and applause] sen. Warren now, you know me and you know the kind of campaign im running. I dont go behind closed doors fancy fundraisers with millionaires and billionaires. Instead, i spent time with you. [cheers and applause] sen. Warren isnt that fun . And puertostates rico [cheers] town halls, 129 thousands of unfiltered questions, and the real measure of democracy, more than 50,000 selfies. [cheers and applause] is. Warren there it so, i get it, but in america, there will be people who are richer and not so richer. The richer people will own more shoes and more cars and may even own more houses. But they should not own more of our democracy. [cheers and applause] we are going to do this. And thats what this movement is all about. Gotten morey, weve than a million contributions to this campaign. We are building a Grassroots Movement. Heres the key. Its a Grassroots Movement not just so we can win at the top, but so we went up and down the ticket. Jeanne shaheen, im looking at you. [cheers and applause] sen. Warren and one more, a movement that says lets get rid of governor vito. Come on [cheers and applause] it. Warren i get there is a lot at stake. People are scared. But we cant choose a candidate we dont believe in because we are scared. And we cant ask other people to dontor someone we believe in. [cheers and applause] win when we call out what is broken, when we show how to fix it, and when we build a Grassroots Movement to get it done. [cheers and applause] sen. Warren ok. Im not afraid.
