STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s order to protect renters from eviction during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is at the heart of a landlord-tenant dispute over a posh Annadale residence — as the homeowner contends he is “being abused by the moratorium.”
In 2017, Michael Mesheriakov and his wife bought a home located at 848 Edgegrove Ave. and decided to rent it while she was attending medical school, Mesheriakov said in a phone interview with the Advance/SILive.com.
