COVID-19 tracker: State reports 490 new cases in Lee County, pushing December's total to record

The Florida Department of Health reported 490 new cases of COVID-19 for Lee County and 20 additional deaths Wednesday.
The new cases brought December's new cases total to a record 10,052. The previous record was in July, when 9,828 new cases were reported.
The 20 additional deaths brought the county's cumulative total of COVID-19 fatalities to 673. That death total was the second highest, behind July 17 when 26 deaths were reported.
