COVID-19 testing center to open in downtown Harrisburg
Updated Mar 12, 2021;
A COVID-19 testing center will open in Strawberry Square for four weeks starting at 9 a.m. Tuesday.
The center, the result of a partnership between the Strawberry Square, the city, Park Harrisburg, the state Department of Health and AMI Expeditionary Healthcare, will be in a vacant retail space on the first floor of the building, inside the Walnut Street entrance.
It will operate from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays through April 10.
The testing, using the mid-nasal passage swab polymerase chain reaction test, will be available free of charge, on a first-come, first-served basis, to anyone age 3 and older. No appointment is required, and no symptoms are required in order to be tested, according to a news release from Strawberry Square.
