Coroner identifies victim in deadly Evansville shooting

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Police tell us one person was killed in a shooting that happened early Monday morning in Evansville.
Officers were called to the area of North First Avenue and West Virginia Street just before 3:30 a.m. for a shots fired call.
One of the callers told dispatch they heard several shots being fired in that area. Another caller said there was a crash in the same area.
When officers arrived, they say they found a crashed vehicle with a deceased man in the driver’s seat. Police say it appeared that the victim had been shot.
