The head of a Sydney aged care home says she is "extremely disappointed" after two further cases of COVID-19 were detected at the facility, one of whom has not been vaccinated against the virus.
There are now five positive cases of COVID-19 in residents at the SummitCare facility in Baulkham Hills after two more tested positive overnight.
"We didn't want to be the nursing home that had COVID come in," SummitCare chief operating officer Michelle Sloane said today.
Today's cases at the home are two women, both aged in their 70s, one of whom is vaccinated and one who is not, NSW Chief Health Officer Dr Kerry Chant said.
