Coronavirus in Northumberland round-up - Wednesday, December 30

Northumberland County Council records the number of active cases - per ward - over a seven day period. 
And while wards in the Tyne Valley remain the worst affected in Northumberland, there are signs of improvement in the west, but cause for concern further east. 
Haltwhistle continues to top the list with 37 active cases over the latest seven-day period. However, this is a considerable reduction on the figure for Christmas Eve, which stood at 55 active cases. 
Cases remain high in other parts of the district. Prudhoe South is second on the list with 29 active cases, and Prudhoe North second with 27, alongside Hexham Central with Acomb, and Haydon & Hadrian on 26.
