Congressional delegation highlights funding for vaccinating Delawareans

Sussex County's Bookmobile will be going into service to provide COVID-19 vaccination opportunities in locations where access is limited. Funding from the American Recovery Plan Act will help expand vaccination to Delawareans, with anyone 16 or older now eligible to receive a vaccine.Coastal Point • Submitted
U.S. Sens. Tom Carper and Chris Coons, Congresswoman Lisa Blunt Rochester (all D-Del.) and Delaware Health & Social Services Secretary Molly Magarik this week joined together with Dr. Janice Nevin, president and CEO of ChristianaCare, at its Wilmington hospital, to highlight funding for Delaware to help combat COVID-19 through vaccine distribution, education and safety.
The funding was made possible by the American Rescue Plan Act, supported by Delaware’s Congressional delegation and signed into law by President Joe Biden in March.
