A civilian employee for the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office is in custody after allegedly sexually assaulting a juvenile female while on duty.
Caleb May, 19, is currently being held in the Arapahoe County Detention Facility on sexual assault charges and has a bond of $65,000, according to online court records.
May is employed by the sheriff's office as a community service specialist and is responsible for taking reports for low priority calls and to help with traffic enforcement. Community service specialists have no power of enforcement, said Ginger Delgado, a public information officer for the department.
Deputies said the victim reported the alleged assault on Wednesday. The alleged crime happened on Monday.
