All American Marine (AAM) was recently awarded the contract to build a 1,600-hp research and hydrographic survey vessel for Geodynamics, an NV5 company. The Shackleford is a 73'x26.7' semi-displacement aluminum catamaran hull that was developed by Nic de Waal of Teknicraft Design, Auckland, New Zealand.
