Getting ready to head the court again . Will he take the stand . Highly not will the thermometer, though, once again, be turned up as there was a dramatic time in court yesterday. All unlikely, but still possible as trumps historic criminal trial nears its dramatic and also today, trumps former lawyer, Rudy Giuliani facing arraignment in arizona for his alleged role and the fake electors plot after they simply couldnt find him to serve him until now. And severe, deadly, turbulent its the terrifying scare in the sky that left one person dead and several others injured. Im serviceside and with kate bolduan, john berman is now heading towards the site of trumps trial for our special coverage. This is Cnn News Central the courtroom may be chile in temperature, but the Fireworks Red Hot and explosive and expected to continue very soon this morning when court resumes tombs for donald trump, Robert Costello, well be back on the stand. His testimony was unexpectedly heated, just 14 minutes into his time on the stand yesterday, and i roll an audible sigh prompted the judge to clear the courtroom also we could issue a warning to costello who has an attorney should clearly know better about quote proper decorum in the Courtroom Prosecutors say they have just 30 minutes left in his cross after the that, the defense has signaled it is ready to rest its case today, meaning not surprisingly, not likely donald trump will be taking the stand, but standby, standby. 12 new yorkers will soon decide his fate on 34 criminal charges. Cnns Brynn Gingras says, live outside court once more for a brynn one more you learned before things start, hadnt things start ramping back up . Yeah, listen were hearing that like you just said, kait, were not expecting the former president to take the stand today. We are expecting the defense to rest and then we also know that for sure, closing arguments are not going to happen until next tuesday. Thats because the judge said with the fact that they he has already given when friday off for jurors of vague for the Holiday Vacation in the monday off with memorial day holiday, its too much time inbetween them getting there instructions and closing arguments to them, begin deliberating. So when they have come back on tuesday, they are going to hear those closing arguments and then they have open runway to begin their deliberations in this trial. But yes, we still got little bit more testimony to get to before we even get to that. That is Robert Costello, the prosecution says theyve got about like you said, 30 minutes or so to ask more questions of him now, to refresh your memory who he is. He isnt attorney who advised Michael Cohen after Michael Cohens home was raided by the fbi in 2018, and god very heated on the stand and he didnt much like the fact that the judge was sustaining some objections with the questions that were being asked of him so much so that he audibly said ridiculous. He said, jeez, he let out a sigh. He rolled his eyes. The judge, then yesterday removed the jurors from the courtroom and essentially said to him, you dont say jeez, you dont get me a sayyed i and you dont roll your eyes which apparently Robert Costello gave the judge a long of glare and the judge did not like that very much it clear in the courtroom of the press and everyone, and essentially gave him very strong instructions that he will be removed from the Witness Stand and his testimony would be striked if that behavior continues. Can and so the defense attorneys, of course, had to say that it wouldnt and then the rest of court went on without such events for the rest of the day yesterday. So well see how it starts off today. We expect, of course, this testimony to not take long and then the defense will rest its case and then were waiting to hear from the judge about whats going to happen for the rest really thursday, when court is expected to resume, guys brynn. Thank you so much, sir. And joining us now to continue this conversation, cnn legal analyst and former federal prosecutor, jennifer rodgers, im going to start where brynn left off. I want the audience to see what the judge actually said. After their results. Lets backandforth between him and the First Defense witness were about costello who was illegal or Legal Advisor to cohen. Here is the exchange that cleared the courtroom and well pull this up. Judge merchan says, look he was very annoyed. He was he cleared the court. He says, im putting you on notice that your conduct is contemptuous. If you try to stare me down one more time, i will remove you from the stand. Costello responds, can i say something, please . Judge merchan no. No. This is not a conversation what do you make that any gay the chord is clear yeah. Yeah. Listen, i mean, judge merchan is very even keeled. So for him to get this bent out of shape, i think the behavior must have been really bad, right . We see what it is on the page. But for those people in the room, it must have been really contemptuous. Thats obviously not an adjective that is used lightly hey, thats purposefully fully saying, i will hold you in contempt listen, bob costello had one job, his one job was to get on the stand and say Michael Cohen told me that donald trump did nothing wrong. And now that is all mucked up in this really Insulin Behavior to the judge has combative behavior with prosecutors. I think its completely backfired because it really appears that bob costello has an ax to grind and hes there with a strong bias towards the defendants. So i think actually jurors are now more likely to say, well, i think what Michael Cohen said about this relationship that he didnt trust costello and he didnt tell castello anything for that reason is much more likely to be believed. It was interesting because he did bring up this whole idea that as Michael Cohen was facing legal problems from the new York District he said hes never i told him, you can clear your name if you can just tell me what it is that donald trump has done and michael, he says, told him he didnt have anything. But because of this backandforth in the jury is sitting there watching this eye rolling and the staring and this whole thing, the judge clearing the court, does it discount in their minds . Him de juries typically not like it when a when a witness is rude to a judge, well, they really dont like it. The judges their authority figure. Hes their protectors, so they always look up to the judge. But they of course, can separate whats kind of what they dont like from what they need to believe based on the testimony of the problem really is the Buck Castello seems to be heavily biased, right . He comes in, he very clearly doesnt like cohen. Hes Testifying For Trump. I think hes Testifying For Trump in a way, and i think the jury sees that, so theyre like, well, who do we believe Michael Cohens explanation which makes a lot of sense . In the timeframe that hes trying to get information out of cohen out of castello. Right . What is the trumpworld doing . What do you know about what can you tell me about my case . Thats what Michael Cohen wants to know. And hes not going to give up any information. Remember, he doesnt pay costello. He never signs an agreement with costello this whole time. I think its very believable that hes trying to get information and not give information. And thats why he told costello he doesnt have anything on trump im curious, just now that the prosecution is done with its case and closing arguments will be coming at some point in time. The prove their case from what you have seen. And now youre seeing the defense witness come onto the stand. I think they did. I mean, i think that Michael Cohen took enough hits and legitimately so that there could be a juror or to whos going to say, i cant credit him. But they proved every element of the offense. Right. If you believe Michael Cohen and there is circumstantial evidence, even if you dont, that trump knew about the repayment scheme, given all of what theyve shown, hes a penny pinch or he knows everything going in and out. All stand to talking about why this was exactly so i think that, you certainly ill put it this way. If theres a conviction, it will not be overturned on appeal for insufficient evidence. They have enough evidence to prove their case. The issue is of course, when the jurors get in the room and start arguing about the credibility of Michael Cohen. Some may say that they dont credit him and without that direct evidence that might not be willing to convict you only need one for a hung jury, right . And so that is the sort of burden of proof they have to go beyond that and convince them all. Jennifer rodgers are great. Thank you so much. Appreciate it. Thanks so ive falling from Breaking News this morning one person has died after severe turbulence on a flight. Several others are reportedly injured and new video shows passengers being treated on the ground right next to the plane. The flight was going from london to singapore. It was diverted to thailand. Cnns marc stewart as gathering the details for us and hes joining us now mark one more elearning were just seeing this new video in all of this video shows just how serious of an incident this is as we have been reporting, basically a whole army, a whole fleet of ambulances have converged on that airport in bangkok. There are emergency responders. There. We are still trying to find out the extent of the injuries, but it is very safe to say that they are serious. This was a very big aircraft, a boeing triple seven, 300 flies a lot of the longhaul routes between asia, between europe, as well as across both of the oceans. This particular flight had 211 people on board, a crew of 18. When base off of our calculations, looking at some online flight logs around 29,000 feet, about halfway into this 13 hour flight is when this turbulence occurred and the pilots then made this very rapid descent to the airport in bangkok to get assistance. Heres the thing about turbulence, despite all of the tools, despite all of the Technology Despite all of that, it can still be very difficult to predict. You could have the most Gorgeous Perfect View out the Airline Window or the airplane window, yet it can suddenly occur. Hence, this term sudden air turbulence. We are hoping to hear from authorities in the hours ahead, this jet has been on the ground four about four hours or so to learn just how badly people had been injured. Again, one person died and to have someone get killed because of turbulence. It does happen, but its something thats very rare because pilots typically do have some kind of warning. This happened. Lets also consider about how long this flight was. A 13 hour flight, about halfway through. Even though the Seatbelt Sign may have been turned on, it would not be unusual for crew members should be walking about or for people to stand in line to use the lavatories. These are some of the questions that we are asking hopefully hearing from passengers in the hours ahead about exactly how this all took place. But kait base off of the images that we are seeing from the airport in thailand, theres no question. This is its a very serious situation and these injuries are quite extensive absolutely. Marc. Thank you so much for gathering all this for us are continued bring updates sir. All right. This morning, were watching for trump allies to be in court. This morning, the International Criminal court, they think more backlash from World Leaders after the icc requested Arrest Warrants for israeli Prime Minister netanyahu and the Israeli Defense minister along with three liters of hamas President Biden called the iccs efforts outrageous and said there is no equivalence between israel and hamas, france and belgium are the only country so far to split from the western allies response and support the icc prosecutors decision. Cnn, Jeremy Diamond is in jerusalem. Jeremy, i am sure there is backlash. They are from israel. What is the latest . No doubt about it across the israeli political spectrum, both the Prime Ministers allies as well as his adversaries and rivals, all striking out against this decision by the icc to seek Arrest Warrants for the israeli Prime Minister as well as the Defense Minister this morning were actually hearing for the first time from the Israeli Defense minister yoav golan, since these warrants were sought by the iccs top prosecutor, and what hes honing in on is two things. First of all, arguing that israel is indeed observing International Law in his view, is really forces are and that they are also working to facilitate humanitarian aid get into gaza and he is also calling this parallel between israel and hamas that he believes is being drawn by the icc is seeking warrants for both israel as well as hamass leaders in the same breath, he is calling that parallel quote, unquote despicable. The israeli Prime Minister has made very similar comments, including in a video that he posted late last night in english, a calling this an outrageous decision and they moral outrage. And again, striking out at that parallel, listen mr. Khan creates a twisted and false Moral Equivalence between the leaders of israel and the henchmen of hamas this is like creating a Moral Equivalence after September 11th between President Bush and osama bin laden. Or during world war ii, between fdr and hitler what a travesty of justice, what a disgrace and the israeli Prime Minister also said that he believes this is an attempt to deny israel the right to selfdefense. Although karim khan, the icc prosecutor, said that it is about israels means that they use to defend themselves, which he said in his view, are criminal. Now, meanwhile, the Israeli Military beyond its activity in gaza, is also stepping up a Military Activity in the occupied west bank targeting a Palestinian Militants in the city of janine in the west bank. Seven palestinians have been killed so far today in an Israeli Military operation, theyre nine others injured according to the Palestinian Ministry of health, among those who were killed well, it is a surgeon who was on his way to work according to the Palestinian Ministry of health Palestinian Militants including the alquds brigade, which is in janine, have said that militants are engaged in what they describe as violent clashes with israeli forces. You can see this one video of an id exploding in janine targeting israeli forces, showing you just how intense these battles are between Palestinian Militants and israeli forces. There has been stepped up, Israeli Military activity in janine, including on friday when an israeli airstrike killed a Top Commander of the jeanine brigade, which is affiliated with islamic jihad. Two now, the distraction good still feel high sky high knew today President Biden heading to New Hampshire, its a small state, of course, that couldnt though proved to have a big impact on novembers election. And its a vote that could prove to be tight potentially cnns air harry end up is with me here at the magic wall. Give us a sense of how important New Hampshire is this year. Now, of course, people who live there like we are the most number one. Yeah. Say let me know that when i went to college up there. All right. So lets take a look at the race to 270 electoral votes. This is basically the 2020 map, except im going to give the sun belt battleground states over to trump. So were talking about nevada, arizona georgia, right . We saw those poles last week where trump was very much ahead there. So the question is, whats the road to 270 votes for joe biden . Well, those Great Lake Battleground states right up here we will go to wisconsin, will give that to joe biden. How about the state of michigan will give that to joe biden . How about the Commonwealth Of Pennsylvania will give that to joe biden. And what do we have here . We have 268 electoral votes to 266 for joe biden well, whats yellow up here in the upper part of the screen . Well, its New Hampshire if joe biden wins it, he gets to exactly 200 electoral votes. But if donald trump wins it, now, donald trump wins with 272 electoral votes. And if good thinking this idea that New Hampshire can make all the difference in the world is crazy. Why dont we go back to election 2000, right . In this particular election . What happened . George w bush won by the slimmest of margins up in the state of New Hampshire. If gore had won the state of New Hampshire, guess what . We would have had very different history. Al gore wouldve won the presidency. Its the onetime since 1,992 when which republican wanted and an elevated George W Bush to the white house there is more Hanging Chads that he got in florida and ended up winning the race. Should we expect this to be close . The polls have been showing how close these two president ial candidates are in New Hampshire and particular, where are we . Yeah so i want to take a look through history. All right. Lets take a look at states that have most close we mirrored the popular vote since 1992. Youll recognize these states in the board right here. Number two is wisconsin. Obviously a very important swingstate. Pennsylvanias number three. But what was number one . Its New Hampshire. If youre looking to one state to tell you where the nation is going. You look to New Hampshire because it tells you a lot. And this year i think its going to tell us a lot, sara, when i was there at the primaries everybody New Hampshire said they were the most important when it comes to this. You just proved numbers, dont lie there may be small but mighty. Thank you so much. Appreciate it. Okay. All right. And joining me right now as republican Congressman Ralph Norman of South Carolina, he was well, it was the only republican member of congress from South Carolina who back nikki haley and the republican primary. I say, i remind folks of that congressman. I remember i saw you in iowas stumping for her because i say that in the context of New Hampshire and the conversation that sarah and harry were just happy. Were just having about he said, you know, look to New Hampshire if you want to see a sign of the direction that the country is going, nikki haley got 40 plus percent of the republican primary vote in New Hampshire. And the fact that haley is pulled in doubledigit vote shares like 15, 20 in some places in 15 states, since she dropped out of the race. What do you think Republican Voters are still saying with that well, first of all, i was President Trump a week ago and court, hes not conceding any state Heard Wisconsin and New Hampshire, and hes not conceding those as far as nikki haley her appeal is still there. She identifies with the people that is how she bested 12 other candidates from the start when she declared in february, yearandahalf ago. So for nikki haley in indiana to pull over 20 and not be on the ballot is amazing. And thats why she would make a great vp candidate. And i made that pitch to President Trump and also to nikki haley so i want to ask you about that because you mentioned that to my colleague, mine erasure, is that you told trump, do you think haley would be good . Running mate and i think we put a demonic is, you can hate her, you cant hate her voters. And who else defeated 12 others, i think is how you put it. But you say youve pitched it to nikki haley . Does she have any interest is she opened at all to this idea of putting aside of donald trump is even considering it here, heres the bottom line. This country cannot take another four years of joe biden. Hes a train wreck where he is he succeeded. What state can say that theyre better off . With joe biden at the helm. He cant even read, to be honest with you. Thank you. Note on the teleprompter that being said, weve got to win this election. Donald trump has got to win it. My pitch to him whos best to carry moderates, independents the nikki haley, theres nobody any better. Shes got the it factor. Shes get the youth. She hes got the personality, so i hope they will change their Mind Politics is interesting game. People can forget the past and look forward to the future but my, my pitch today is the country is at stake lets join hands and less, less win this election. And when nikki haley, donald trump can do it its one thing to make a pitch to trump im quite interested in if nikki haley would even be open to the idea. Do you get the sense if youre a betting man and i dont know you well enough to know you are your betting man, do you think she is open right now for to the pitch that youre making to her i think were working toward it, but the answer is the short answers. Yes. I think she will be b instead, she loves an america and she knows the stakes that are that were risking now with this upcoming election, the most important election of a lifetime socialism versus a free economy versus what this verse is, freedom to be honest with you so youre among you mentioned it, you were among republican lawmakers have traveled to new york last week to show your support of donald trump at his criminal trial. Republican senator mitt romney, he spoke to my colleague manuel once again about what he thought of you all doing that, listen to this i think its a little demeaning to show up in front of the courthouse and particularly one where were talking about it out allegation of paying a porn star as it really, really very difficult to watch going out and prostrating themselves in front of the public to try and apparently, curry favor with the person whos are nominee its a little embarrassing youre one of the group that hes talking about. How do you respond to that . Whats embarrassing is way mitt romney votes, hes a democrat and hes masking is conserved if hes not. Well, he is an effect. No, well support donald trump is a kangaroo trial. What theyre doing to donald trump is not fair and so were going to continue to go up there, different groups going up at different times. Look, its obvious the judge whose daughter whose daughter is raising money for democrats, all of the country its a sham Kangaroo Court that hes been subjected to look at doing it to curry favor pardon me. Are you are you showing up to curry favor with donald trump . I had tom cotton on the other day and he said, he doesnt he essentially told me that he doesnt need to show up to court to show his support of donald trump. Hes working hes working in the senate. You tried to pass legislation to show his support of donald trump im not i dont need anything. Donald trump. What what i wanna do is by showing up, it means we support him and to really even almost have to be there to see what a sham it is. The fact that the man is holding up under all of this the dark. So they come in his way. He ought to be on the campaign trail. Look what happened was stormy daniels, if it happened, it was 20 years ago. They could have had this trial seven years ago. They didnt do it. This is all political and hes going to, hes posed numbers are going up because the American People see whats happening so yeah, well continue to go up. I dont care what mitt romney things he can stay do what hes doing in the senate. But no, its something we paid our own way. He did not ask us to show up. I dont want anything from President Trump, although i want him to get a fair i wish he had a fair trial. Could get out campaign and do what he does best cars. Congressman ralph norman. Thank you for your time sir. All right do you want to be truly happy what if you could actually train your brain to increase your happiness . Cnns dr. Sanjay gupta explores that very question. In the new season of his podcast, chasing life, sanjay joins us now what are some of the biggest misconceptions when it comes to trying to make yourself happy. A lot of people go shopping or they go here they go, theyre and theyre trying to get it through things, correct . Correct. Yeah. I mean, that is the strategy for a lot of people to try and attain it through these material things. What is interesting working on this podcast . First of all, is that the happiness in and of itself means very Different Things to different people. So having that conversation with your family and friends about what it really means could be quite revealing, more revealing than you might expect. But i think theres a couple of things that really jumped out. I spoke to Laurie Santos. Those you may have heard that name. Shes a professor, she teaches a course on happiness at yale. Its one of the most popular courses and several hundred years at yale what is interesting, first of all, is that humans are not naturally good at being happy. It wasnt what is known as an adaptive trait. Our evolution was to keep us alive, survival, not necessarily to make us happy. So thats a relatively new thing for humans to actually think about happiness so another thing that really jumped out at me was this idea of if you chart your life, you look from when youre a teenager to when youre older, theres a curve. Lets, lets show that curve here. Its called the happiness. You curve, and its, its pretty fascinating it basically, earlier in life pretty High Satisfaction scores. But then you start to go down until if you want to put a number on it right around 49 years old. But then after that, you steadily goh up mainly for the rest of your life, which is really interesting because a lot of people see middle age as being this really tough time. And youre going to have this long period of unhappiness. But in fact, you start to go up around 49 or 50 and it stays high even into old age, which people typically think of as a point of when youre going to be dealing with illness. So i thought that was really regulatory and inspiring as a guy in his midfifties, that things just sort get better from here on up if you put a couple of eyes on that, thats a smiley face by the way, about happiness. You curve, there so its a good reminder like thats a wonderful thing. One of the phrases that you use in your podcasts is constructively dissatisfy. First of all, what does that mean and how does that impact happiness the great thing about podcasts, as you know, sarah, as you just chatting and i was talking to Laurie Santos and just sort of use this term on the fly constructively. Dissatisfied. And i think what it really means is if you can think of a venn diagram of happiness and satisfaction action and complacency what is sort of interesting is this idea that Greater Happiness might give you greater satisfaction but greater satisfaction does not necessarily give you Greater Happiness, sort of what you were saying at the beginning in fact, this idea that if you become satisfied, that could lead to complacency so youve got all these overlapping things, happiness, satisfaction complacency, and they overlap to some extent. But there are also distinct. So do you need some degree of dissatisfaction in a constructive way . To be happier . And i think the answer for a lot of people is yes this is fascinating. I could talk to you all day. You know what makes me happy, chocolate, and talking to you, sanjay gupta some shots that told me later, yeah, well talk its even ten of dr. Sanjay gupta. Its podcast chasing life starts today. Sanjay, that was wonderful. Its been something youre actually, its like a debate ive actually had with a lot of Friends Reason Land the word ive landed on, which is not something i dont know if you can measure is fulfillment. Is that the definition of happiness . Thats a good cup. Im just going to stay with but i dont really know um, yeah, im just gonna throw it out there. I like it. I like it being fulfilled. Its good. It sounded eerily like someone very real, the very same, someone who voiced day super intelligent ai assistant in the film, her good morning. Theodore. Morning you have a meeting in five minutes. You want to try getting too funny cupcake. Good. Im funny. That is, scarlet. Johansson fois in the film. And now the actor is threatening legal action for what she says is essentially openais copy paste of her voice. Heres the voice of, here is the voice that chatgpt used for sky hey, chatgpt, i mark. How are you oh, mark im doing great. Thanks for asking. How about you clare, duffy, as following those for us whos here with me now, whats happening here, right . So essentially when openai announced the launch of this updated chatgpt with this boy sky people started drawing comparisons when correlate johanson is voice in this film, her, which of course is a quasi dystopian film about the relationship between humans and technology. The voice also faced backlash for being kind of weirdly flirtatious. So openai on monday announced that it was gonna be pausing the use of this voice, but then monday night, we get this statement from Scarlett Johansson suggesting that it may have had more to do with her, that they decided to pause she said that openai Ceo Sam Altman reach out to her in september asking if she would be the voice of openai 4. 0 of chatgpt four point, i should say, and she declined for personal reasons then two days before they launched this thing, he again came to her agent and asked if she would be involved she said they didnt get a chance to talk about it, and then they went ahead with the launch. Anyway. She said when it came out, she was shocked, angered, in disbelief that mr. Altman would pursue a voice that sounded so eerily similar to hers. Now, openai says that this isnt actually her voice opening Ceo Sam Altman so that it is not Scarlett Johansson voice. It was never intended to resemble hers and it was actually another actress, but really not a good look for openai that this is sounding so similar amid larger concerns in hollywood and among the Creative Class that ai could still there worked steal their likeness and profit from that without any compensation and just showing the battles and the clashes that are going to happen that seemed to be happening every step of the way as they tried to roll this out. Its great to see if claire thank you for bringing that to us sir. All right. Thank you. Kate, Senate Democrats renewing their push to pass a border bill and are expected to put it on the floor again this week, they arent very hopeful senator dick durbin said yesterday, he doesnt know if theres enough support at this point along with immigration. Abortion, also a top issue for voters voters heading into the 2024 four election, joining us now is new mexico governor michelle do john grisham who state is directly affected by both of these issues as a border state, that neighbors states that have really extreme abortion restrictions. I want to first start on the border since the senate, is looking at trying to pass this, it doesnt look good what are the main difficulties that you have experienced in your state . Well, sarah, first, thank you very much for having me on and youre right. When the entire country says were all Border States. No, we are not all Border States and there is no question that there is tension in new mexico border. So two things. One we rely on the bulk of our food and other Agricultural Products coming across legally and safely across the borders. So when we make it political and we stop trucks, then that means that i dont have food for new mexico resin in rural particularly rural communities. Dire consequences this is also when we dont have enough personnel, we dont have enough security absolutely. There are risks at the border. We need both. I need a common sense smart border bill and this bill, first one in a long time has the support of the union, right . That is the membership of the border patrol. This has now become a really harsh political issue and people get caught again and again in the crossfire, shame on republicans here again, are you dissatisfied though with the way the Biden Administration has dealt with this issue up into this point. And what are the conversations like between you and the president . So im not disappointed. Im frustrated and i think he is incredibly frustrated as well. And i was the chair of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus when i was in congress for three firms we add a border bill that was the same kind of aspect here. More security, more personnel, and changes to the system to ask for visa on the front end and to deal with asylum on the backend. This is a country of immigrants so here are my conversations. I trust that i have a president that is clear that we dont hate immigrants in this country, that we are country built on immigration that hes clear about this Security Risks and the threats at the border. And hes also clear that its more than this country. I need help from the other countries. Including mexico, but he is hamstrung and if youre not going to fund the personnel, youre not going to give us the Security Aspects that it hamstring states like mine. So having my national guard, for example, theyre involved in all the drug interdiction. So all the investigative work but they cant be anywhere at the borders. Nothing for them to do. Two, theres real innovation into mexico. Were working on Fentanyl Detection in the air so that we can do airborne detection. You know what chills innovation and the ability to deploy that at the border . Having republicans march to the orders of the candidate of chaos and say, dont pass border bill. Now im not going to get that kind of innovation and support and we desperately need it. The states are having major issues on the border. Many different kinds of ways governor, i want to move on to abortion rights. You are between arizona and texas. They have heavily restricted to almost abolished abortion in their states. How is your state affected by that . What are you seeing in new mexico . An influx. So women have no other choice but to travel to new mexico as a result, i funded another reproductive rights and Abortion Clinic in southern new mexico, where were seeing an influx of women coming from el paso and their families. So theyre traveling from these stage, two, new mexican and a shout out to governor katie hobbs, right . Making a contraceptives more accessible and our state shout out to arizonas clear about a Ballot Initiative and the legislature whos doing something about the court action, having a nearly right total ban on abortion. But women are coming to a state. That means that our women dont have as much access. It means that we are trying to figure out a way to support all families. It means theyre coming with more serious medical conditions because they cant get there in time. It should show the rest of the country when you got dozens of women in court, youve got women who had nearly lost their lives. Or we may not even know, have lost their lives. Were not focused on Maternal Health in this country. This is a disaster and he said he was gonna do it the former president and hes going to keep doing it. Hes bowing to extremists that are rolling back constitutional protections and rights for women and their families. And its outrageous and contraceptives, i think or next, you think that theyll start going after concept solute. Wait, let me look at the fights with ivf and related and good for biden for making sure that we can now get overthecounter access to come contraceptives. Theres been a lot of scrambling on the part of republicans when it comes to ivf people trying to roll back some of that because they are concerned and they want it to be thoughtful about this. This isnt policy, this is politics. And when womens lives are in the balance, it was a clear right . But clear view for the first time for a lot of republican politicians who had to face the reality that they were harming their own constituents because they didnt take that into consideration. And voters should remember that at the ballot box. Governor, thank you for coming here to new york to be on set with us are real appreciate it. A great conversation. Thank you, sarah. All right. Oh, no. No, this is me. All right ill have kate come over here. So i just wanted to make this note for you who have been hanging out with us every morning and we so appreciate you the National Institutes of health estimates 2 million new cases of cancer will be diagnosed in the United States this year alone.
