good morning. 8 8:00 a.m. here in new york. 3:00 a.m. in gaza. the military says it discovered a tunnel shaft, guns, explosives at gaza's largest hospital and the bodies of two hostages nearby. hamas is accusing israel of lying. live to tel aviv for the latest. the push to expel george santos is gaining momentum after a house investigation found he spent money on so much more. a fellow republican trying to kick hit out. 100 days since the catastrophic wildfire that wiped out lahaina on maui. we will look at the ongoing search to find people still missing. this hour of "cnn this morning" starts now. good morning, new overnight israeli forces say they have discovered the body of a second hostage near gaza's largest hospital. israeli troops have been conductsing a military operation as the israeli military says it found a tunnel, a hamas tunnel shaft and a stash of guns, grenades and other combat gear at the hospital. the idf released these videos. they say this is proof. hamas accuses israel of making baseless lies. cnn cannot verify the claims. the united nations human rights chief wants access to the site to launch an independent investigation. >> israeli prime minister benjamin netanyahu now says intelligence about hostages was one of the big reasons israel sent troops into the hospital. >> we had strong indications that they were held in the shifa hospital, which is one of the reasons we entered the hospital. if they were, they were taken out. >> and right now the families of hostages held in gaza are continuing their march from tel aviv to jerusalem as they demand action from the israeli government and call on netanyahu to do everything possible to secure the release of their loved ones. this is new drone video of them marching this morning. >> here in the united states, we are seeing more protests coast to coast demanding a ceasefire in gaza. protesters blocked san francisco's bay bridge for hours. police say some of the protesters parked their cars there and threw their keys into the bay. oren liebermann is live in tel aviv for us. let's start with the idf's claims that we had to go in bruce of all of these reasons, because hamas is running a command center there. will we see more evidence of that from them or just the video that was released? >> reporter: we expect to see since we expect a briefing from the kbidf spokesperson in the nt several hours. the idf says they are in the third or fourth day of operations in the al shifa hospital complex. the purpose to uncover more underground hamas infrastructure. the evidence they put out a couple days ago fell short of conclusive proof that hamas was using the hospital above ground to protect themselves below ground. they say they uncovered weapons in the hospital itself. certainly not establishing underground presence. more imagery and more photos and video you showed a short while ago of what they say is the entrance to an operational tunnel of the terror infrastructure used by hamas underneath the hospital itself. the problem is, we are not independently on the ground to verify that and can't see inside the tunnel. that's what we would expect to see to further substantiate the claim that hamas is underneath the hospital as part of their infrastructure, complex, command and control and their operations. so that is what we're waiting to see now. meanwhile, in the hospital conditions growing more dire. the director of the hospital told al jazeera doctors are having to make harrowing decisions to keep patients alive, including, for example, amputating patients' limbs because they can't keep infection away from the injuries. meanwhile, questions about premature babies and kidney dialysis. that is inside the hospital itself as we near what i believe would be the fourth day of idf operations there and in the vicinity. >> you made this point several times. this is a complex to some degree. when they talk about -- when israeli officials talk about two bodies of hostages found near the hospital, near matters. what does that mean? what does that tell you? >> reporter: it doesn't seem from the indications in the statements we are getting from the idf that the bodies of the hostages were in the complex itself. they said they were found nearby. first, the body of israeli hostage 65-year-old, a grandmother kidnapped from kibbutz berry, one of those hardest hit october 7. her husband was killed in the attack. the idf didn't offer a cause of death. the spokesperson said she had been murdered by hamas and found with ak-47s and rocket-propelled grenades near the hospital complex, not in the complex itself. the body of a young israeli soldier also found near the complex. her mother, in fact, spoke yesterday as part of the march towards jerusalem. they stopped at the family's house and the families of the hostages demanded answers from the israeli government on what they are doing to bring the hostages home. they simply say they are not getting any sort of communication on where the negotiations stand and if there is any real progress there. >> oren, thank you for your reporting for us all morning from tel aviv. joining us is former homeland security secretary under president obama jeh johnson, a partner at paul wise. mr. secretary, appreciate your time. >> thank you. one secretary after another. >> good bookings. >> i am a private citizen. >> yeah. >> now. >> in that capacity, if you want to speak for the government, you are welcome to -- >> i won't even try. >> something we discussed after the october 7th attacks. in a bigger picture point of view, in the wake of a week where you saw the president weighing in on this, being decide about this on a global stage, you said hamas is acting on the israelis to overreact. that's part of the plan. four or five weeks into this, where are they on that in terms of the israelis? >> difficult to say, actually the. we look at the images of the tunnel under the hospital, we look at the images of the weapons that were seized, and i have a lot of questions about that. images cannot always tell the full story. i look at the images and wonder, okay, how recently was it that hamas was apparently co-located with this hospital? how long have those weapons been there? had they long abandoned the site or did they just flee moments before the idf moved in? it's actdifficult to say. what is very troubling, however, is the thought, the notion of babies dying in incubators because the hospital staff is evacuated the hospital for their own physical safety. it must be extraordinarily painful for a health care worker to abandon a child in an incubator. there has to be a way to thread this needle. i know, for example, u.s. special forces would be very adept at going after their objectives, their military objectives, while minimizing civilian casualties. it's difficult to say right now exactly what's happening. i'd love it if some reporters were willing to be able to, you know, get there and -- you just heard yet again a report saying we are unable to verify any of this. >> yeah. >> i think it would be -- israel right now, it's a battle on the ground, but it's also a battle for global world opinion. >> to that point, mr. secretary, you ran the department of homeland security. it was created in the wake of 9/11. and when you talk about global opinion and minds, this tick what has become i think 36 million views now, some on tiktok, some because of a journalist who put them out there, more people are seeing it, but it is young people mainly that are expressing sympathy for osama bin laden after reading h2002 letter to america. given his role post-9/11, i wonder what you make of that? >> some people have short memories. highlighting the plight of the palestinian people, for example, is a worthwhile legitimate endeavor. what you don't want to do is make the messenger for that message the most notorious terrorist in the last half century because three quarters of your intended audience are going to write you off if you do such a thing. you know, highlighting what osama bin laden had to say 10, 20 years ago does not advance the cause. it just creates controversy. >> given your roles in the administration, also general counsel at the pentagon, the biden administration believes what the israelis are saying about the intelligence in the hospital. swinging back to the hospital. are you surprised? what does that tell you? for them to be so clear cut and unequivocal there is a command node underneath the hospital, there are tunnels underneath the hospital, they have to be seeing something? is that what you -- >> again, i don't doubt that there was a command and control center underneath the hospital. what i want to know is, you know, how recently was that? was it literally ongoing while they were surrounding the hospital? did they flee days, weeks ago? how many members of hamas have been captured as a result? how many hamas casualties have occurred? who exactly in hamas leadership has been killed or taken off the battlefield? those are facts that i think would add to the effort to shape global world opinion right now, which is, obviously, very important for the israelis. the biden administration, their first impulse, and i think it was a good one, is to stand by the state of israel in this. the victim of a terrorist attack. i actually believe the biden administration has done a good job of steering a very narrow course in its public position with israel, and they are also in a position, because they are such a close ally, of giving them strong advice on actually how to conduct this war. >> mr. secretary, while you're here, you are also a trustee of columbia university. it's in the headlines because the university made the decision to suspend two pro-palestinian student groups saying they violated university policy. they didn't elaborate on that. "the new york times" is saying they held unauthorized events that had threatening rhetoric or intimidation. those student groups take real issue with that. they say that they are basically being silenced. they call it selective censorship and an attack on free speech. there is a line to free speech, right? c constitutionally. as a trustee, can you speak to the groups that feel like they are being silenced at a crucial moment? >> i am a trustee of columbia. i can't speak for columbia as i sit here on cnn. i will say this, however -- >> you make important decisions as a trustee for the university. >> very clearly. we have our responsibilities. as i think i said last time i was here, there is a line to be drawn between exercising your first amendment rights in a free and open society, even doing so loudly, even to the annoyance of those with whom you disagreement but there is a line crossed when you incite hate, violence against other groups. it is also the case for any university, for a city to be able to regulate time, place and manner for a demonstration, for an exercise of first amendment rights, for the safety of the students, the faculty on a campus. the general public. the university has to be able to regulate time, place and manner. this is a very, very difficult and challenging time right now, particularly for any university with a large and very diverse international student body. >> it really is. are and we'll have you become to talk more about that because so many movements in this country have started on university campuses. we appreciate you being here in all of your important roles, mr. secretary. >> thank you very much. a new push to expel new york congressman george santos after house ethics report found substantial evidence that he used donor money to enrich himself. we will speak to a new york republican who has been leading this surcharge. a billboard went up in manhattan's times square marking 41 days since the hostages were taken by hamas in gaza. that includes emily hand, who turns 9 today. we spoke to her father thihis week.. weighs t there to sesee ththe billboboard in pererson. his s reaction a ahead. . welcome back. george santos says he won't seek re-election following the lease of the long-awaited thousands ethics report that accuses him of deceiving donors, blatantly stealing from his campaign and frac lently exploiting every aspect of his candidacy for profit. a few examples alleging how he misused campaign funds. hotel charges in las vegas. $3,000 for an airbnb. paying off credit card bills, $4,000 at a luxury store and smaller purchases for meals, parking, goes on and on. joining me is grease anthony "desposito," a republican driving a campaign to have santos expelled. this is a shocki 56-page report. so far, the new speaker of the house is not pushing for his expulsion. do you agree with that? is it time for him to if? >> i thought that santos should have been ridden from the house of representatives months ago. i was one of the ones that led the charge a couple of weeks ago along with my new york freshmen in order to put the expulsion resolution on the floor. obviously, it wasn't successful. but i do believe that it helped the ethics committeenov their investigation along, i would hope, and now the rest of the conference and rest of the house of representatives are getting a bur bird's eye view of what new yorkers thought all along. >> the house speaker mike johnson's team called it troubling, these findings, but then went on to say they encourage all involved to consider the best interest of the institution as this matter is addressed further. to do you think that is a mistake, not to have called for his expulsion? >> i think that the speaker i spoke to the speaker yesterday and he has given me the same advice as he gave me three weeks ago, and that was do what you think is best for the conference and for your district. and i think that's what many of my colleagues are going to do. and i believe that the speaker, who has had conversations with us, he also spoke to the chairman of the ethics committee yesterday who put out a statement that he was going to put forth a resolution today to expel george santos. i am confident that a majority of the conference is going to come together after reading if not yesterday, then today, the ethics report and send george santos on his way. >> you think the votes are there? >> i do. i believe the votes are there. and we'll see. i mean, the resolution is supposed to go in today, which would not bring a vote until we return after thanksgiving. and there is a lot that could happen between now and then. perhaps, you know, santos could rid house of representatives of himself on his own. >> i am not sure about that, but we'll watch and see. i want to ask you about something else because yesterday new york governor kathy hochul signed the clean slate act into law. it would seal criminal records for people after they have released, served their sentence, met conditions, waited several years. you previously tweeted opposition to the bill. we had the ceo of the clean slate initiative on who has heifer f her on personal experience with this. here is what she said to some of the republican criticism thinking it's soft on crime. listen to this. >> what i hear when i travel across the country in red states and blue states and i talk to republicans and liberals, they are saying that this is a public safety issue, we have to put people back to work. people need to have access to jobs, housing, alternative measures of not going back to praising, reducing recidivism. when people have access to jobs, it's a public safety measure. >> do you think she is wrong? can you explain your opposition to this measure? >> i think she is absolutely wrong. i think that individuals who have gone through the system, committed crimes, i spent a career in the nypd and i saw it firsthand. there are many individuals who make it through the system, who, you know, do their penance, and have very successful lives. what this shows is this is a continuation of the far-left policies and pro-criminal agenda of governor hochul and the new york state legislature. they should be focusing on getting together and trying to make changes to our cashless bail system that has created a complete disaster in new york. that's what we should be focused op. if they want to focus on public safety, focus on the root of the cause. >> you know most class a felonies are not included, not murders, domestic terror, et cetera. are you essentially saying that people with who have served their time should not have a second chance because you know how hard it is to often get housing, a job with some of these crimes on your record. her crime, by the way, was an $87 bounced check. >> i am absolutely not saying that. i think people should have second chances. but they are better ways to handle it than sending a message to individuals who are committing crimes that if they check boxes that it's going to be eliminated from their record. to say it's a public safety policy is absolutely ridiculous when we have the governor, the prior governor, and the state legislature, who are the most anti-public safety that i have seen in a long time. so it's completely hypocritical. if we want to focus on public safety, we should be focusing on the issues at hand and that is the disaster that they have made of cashless bail, of criminal justice reform. they made changes to the criminal justice reform stystem without having conversations with law enforcement officers, without having conversations with people who are actually putting handcuffs on people who are wrestling guns out of individuals on the street. they never had conversations with them. it was the state legislature led by one the state senators who represented the district that i live in, todd kominsky, whose career was ended because his -- he put pen to paper and supported this disaster. >> congressman, thank you for joining us on all of this. we will have you back soon. >> thank you. have a good one. there is new cnn polling in new hampshire showing donald trump continuing to dominate the republican field but there is a new runner-up. more on the haley hype ahead. and it's been 100 days since the wildfires completely devastated parts of maui. a look ahead a at how rebubuild is happenining. since the devast maui. more than 100 lives were lost when the fires ripped through lahaina. cnn's mike valerio takes us inside the community's mission to lee vild. rebuild. >> reporter: more than 100 days later it is still nearly incomprehensible, taking in all that is lost. >> you are there with the person as they are sobbing and you see firsthand the trauma. maui police officers brad taylor and steven are two of the heroes whose task force has investigated every single missing person's case from the lahaina fire. >> we are working to make sure anybody who has a lost loved one we are able to find them or give them closure. >> reporter: but that has been auto loose i have for families of four people not seen since the fire. among those still missing is robert owens. >> we learned that he used to work for nasa as an engineer. paul, he is a resident of lahaina, a local artist, boatbuilder, woodworker, published author and father of two. another a father of two. >> reporter: the fourth still missing is lydia. >> lydia is a lahaina resident, a mother, wife, well respected community member. >> reporter: according to honolulu civil beat eight of the family members lost their lives in the lahaina fire. >> we are getting family reference samples coming in. >> reporter: tony earls leads the team. he says as of now there is one set of human remains that hasn't been identified yet. >> we have ideas of who we think it is. >> reporter: but he adds, whether it comes to putting a name to the remains -- >> i can guarantee it will be days, if not weeks, maybe months. >> reporter: this week officers are planning new burn zone searches. >> we are still going out into the rubble, the burn zone. we will find new information out and we're really -- we want to get the rest of those people. >> reporter: officer taylor told us he knew some of the victims. >> one of the unfortunate ways i found out was we would get the dna confirmation sheets. i read the name and it was from a former co-worker, used to work with the police department when i started my career. >> reporter: and the other officer was changed, deeply affected by devastating wildfires. >> my hometown is paradise, california. they went through this. and so i made it an effort to get into this position so i could be beneficial for the department and be there for the families and friends because i have families and friends in paradise that lost their homes. >> reporter: for now, it's been 100 days of work. both officers remain hopeful there will be answers and eventual solace for families of the four who are still missing. >> when i set out to this, it was no stone unturned, no one left behind. i am hopeful and committed and dedicated to make sure that i reach that goal. >> reporter: mike valerio, cnn, los angeles. coming up next returning home to sudan to shed light on the atrocities of war while avoiding confrontation with paramilitary groups that don't want her covering that story.. you are e going to w want to se this.. stay with us. communications have been actively blocked by the rapid support force and its battle with the sudanese army for control of sudan. nima elbagir traveled to cha chad to a border town where many survivors of atrocities have pled fled. a warning. it is very difficult to see. >> reporter: one by one, survivors come forward wanting to share, to document what has happened to them. i held by 5-year-old brother and ran with him in the mosque. the rsf chased us, shooting at us. bullet hit my brother's head. the rsf said, leave these ones. we will find better ones to sell. these ones, let's rape them. >> reporter: textbook ethnic cleansing. these are the hallmarks of genocide. we interviewed over a dozen survivors and eyewitnesses who witnessed the abduction at least 200 other girls. through their testimony, we were able to pinpoint key neighborhoods where civilians were targeted and where women were being sold from slave houses. places like -- where survivors counted 75 girls abducted in one fell swoop. there is nowhere safe. >> cnn's chief international investigative correspondent joins us now. what i struggle with this is the first time. so many public officials said in the wake of the last time this wouldn't be happening again. you covered that initial campaign of atrocities as a young journalist. is it worse now? >> yes. unfortunately, because the world looked away. and so the same forces who perpetrated that horror now are better equipped, better trained, better supported. the russian proxy militia wagner is a key backer of theirs. and so they are now in a much better position to wreak so much more havoc and they know that the world stood by the last time and allowed it to happen. so they are also incredibly empowered. >> and let's watch a little bit more from your reporting. here it is. >> as the sun sets, our situation becomes more precarious. >> we have been held at every -- almost every single checkpoint. it's now 10:00 at night and we are still an hour and a half before our destination. every moment that we are delayed, it gets more and more dangerous. >> reporter: and delayed again and again and again. luckily, we managed to get in touch with a distant cousin of my father's who allows us to bed down in her new not yet furnished home. the team is exhausted. we need to get some sleep. >> seven months into the conflict, and it has not received much attention. certainly not the headlines that we need to be seeing around the world. we just saw how hard it was for your team to get in. is a lack of access a big reason for that? >> absolutely. absolutely. and i also think part of the issue is also that we're not hearing strong enough statements from people like secretary of state antony blinken. there is equivocation of one side is bad and the other side is bad. as you know, poppy, from all your years doing this job, causes the audience to glaze over. oh, well, then there is nothing to do. this is ethnic cleansing. this has the hallmarks of genocide. the fact that potentially this is a second genocide in one region within one century, who do you blame? i think the blame has to rest firmly on the global community and on world leaders who clearly have not prioritized this. and what is extraordinary is that it's the survivors who are advocating for themselves, who are bravely speaking out to people like us to put that burden on people who have already suffered so much. le to me, it's just heartbreaking. >> you have one of the most incredible bodies of work on all issues like this. >> you are very kind. >> i'm serious. if you don't believe me, look at the awards. it's amazing. the work is incredible. but the balance here -- i know you probably don't want to talk about yourself, but you're a journalist. how personal was this? you received threats. you were evacuating your family. what's that like? >> i think the hardest moment for me came with regards to the threats that you mentioned, is when i was having to think about, well, have i put my team in danger? have i put dbarbara and alex, wo have agreed to come on this journey, and actually, you know, dragging me along sometimes, have you put them in danger? but i think the commitment to making sure that we didn't waste this opportunity of a whole hour on the whole story on sunday on, you know, u.s. television. it's a huge opportunity. but i did sometimes feel like i had competing personalities in my head. there is the kind of journalist part of you that goes into autopilot and does what it needs to do, and this other voice, like, i remember when i was here. i know that person. we were -- we were walking through a lot of these cities and people were coming up to me, people who i had friends in common that we both lost during this conflict. there was an almost hourly reminder of how close this was to my family. but the team is amazing. they do the work with me, and they really kept me able to do the job we needed to do. >> the indefatigable, unparalleled, your importance to this network, nima elbagir, thank you. you can see the full story with anderson cooper sunday 9:00 p.m. eastern and pacific only on cnn. moments ago, a billboard went up in manhattan's titles scare showing pictures of emily hand who was initially believed to have been killed in the october 7th hamas attacks but is now believed to be among the 237 hostages. >> her father, thomas, was there, you see him there, to see the billboard go up this morning before learning that his daughter ways live, he had told our colleague clarissa ward that learning of what he thought was her death was better than her being held captive by hamas. now he is waiting for a chance to hug his little girl. >> she doesn't have a birthday like a normal child. so we, the world, are honoring her, her life, her birthday, by doing whatever we can. keep her alive in our hearts and minds. we were hoping that she would be back by now. that was -- that would have been our prayers answered. but she's not. she is still down in the tunnels. so now we have to hope that she will be back for christmas. >> today is emily's 9th birthday. happy birthday, sweet emily. we'll l be right b back. less than a week, americans mr. fill their tables with families, friends, food for thanksgiving. so just how much is it going to cost to feed your squad this year? cnn senior data reporter harry enten. this has been the question in politics for the better part of the last year or more. >> yeah. >> how are americans feeling about the economy heading into the holiday season? >> they don't like it, phil. just 26% of americans say it is good. 73%, the vast new majority, say it is poor. that's despite the fact we are seeing some prices going down. a gallon of milk down 25, 30 cents. gallon of gas down 40 cents. that 16-pound turkey that perhaps we are go all going to enjoy down by a dollar. i think that's one of the big questions. americans are saying the economy is poor. in fact, there are a number of prices that are actually going down. >> so then why? >> why? why? because maybe we shouldn't just be comparing to a year ago. we should be comparing to pre-pandemic. gallon of milk up nearly a dollar. gallon of gas up 50, 60 cents. 16-pound turkey look at this increase, up nearly 6, $7. my goodness gracious. so i think a lot of americans are comparing it to the pre-pandemic economy and if you look at that overall fries increase, this four-year period since october of 2019 according to cpi, look at that, prices up 20%. compare that to the normal four-year period since 1948, up 11%. prices of much, much higher compared to a four-year period. i will give you one piece of good news, phil, though. airline prices, they are actually down since pre-pandemic and they are also down significantly from a year ago. so if you're looking to fly out to see folks, pretty good time to do so. >> that's a good piece of advice. i would love harry enten at my thanksgiving table. we should auction that off. don't go anywhere. come on back. >> don't try to sell my friend. >> not like that. he would be a great addition. imagine him fighting with your, like, angry, crazy relative? >> up wouldn't to come over? you have to cook for 12 people after anchoring this show because mattingly is going on vacation. >> wow! whoa! >> i know. >> welcome, ron. >> yeah. >> come on down to the table. >> and you are invited, harry. nikki haley. what was the alliteration earlier? >> the haley? >> hype. >> talk to us. the new cnn polling shows a her gaining. 22 points behind trump. 20 there. 20 in new hampshire. >> a poll with the same result. i think haley's in a situation where her path beyond iowa has much more runway than ron desantis and that is important because ultimately one has to eclipse the other in order for this to become a race. we don't know if it will or not. desantis looks like he is on the same road to nowhere as the last three iowa winners. huckabee in '08, santorum in '12, cruz in 16 followed the strategy that desantis is following now, which is consolidate consolidate evangelicals. none got 12% of the vote. he is pretty much on that path. haley, on the other hand, has room to grow in new hampshire. parts of the party that the most resistant to trump, college educated, and if she can perform well there, you can imagine she then obviously has a leg up in what has been traditionally the most important state on the calendar for republicans. south carolina. which has picked the winner in every contested race except one since 1980. desantis is still ahead in national polling. he still probably is ahead of her in more states but you could imagine a scenario where she eclipses him in new hampshire and south carolina and clearly the alternative to trump at that point. the question is she a truly viable alternative to trump. to do that she'll have to broaden the audience she's attracting at this point. >> there's one candidate that wasn't mentioned which i think holdings the key for nikki haley, chris christie. if you look at our poll and the second choice of the chris christie supporters, overwhelmingly for nikki haley. >> they are not folks who like donald trump, and i think there's going to be a real question that chris christie is going to have to ask him going down the road as we head towards january, do i really want to beat donald trump, because if he does he may have to get out of the race. >> you can imagine governor sununu and christie endorsing haley at some point before the new hampshire primary, and then, you know, the problem she's got is that she kind of needs a stair step. she needs acceleration at each step. if she can get ahead of desantis in iowa, then she could be sort of like gary hart in 1984. if you're the surprise second place winner, that would give her a better shot in south carolina. the problem she has run into is that the governor of iowa decided for her own reasons to endorse desantis, making it less likely that haley gets the true lift out of iowa, that she probably needs even with a christie endorsement to genuinely threaten trump in new hampshire! >> i wanted to ask both of you about this. what's going on in the middle east and what that does for the democratic coalition. we have seen the protests, and we have seen the splits and divides on capitol hill, and from activists, it's there. is it something that will be lasting and problematic politically? and do we even know? >> first of all, it's real. democrats are divided 50/50 on whether they support israel or the palestinians more in the conflict, in polling that came out this week in quinnipiac. there's more resistance to military aide among democrats than republicans. exact opposite of the situation in ukraine. i would say yes, but biden does have an opportunity to, active fighting is over before the 2024 election where he can pressure israel into resuming something in a genuine peace process, a negotiation toward a two-state solution. they have never obviously born out historically. if biden can engineer that next year, i think some of this diminishes, especially if he's running against trump who is many of those young voters. >> i'm reminded of a clip, the mclaughlin group, before the '92 election, a year and a half out, that fred barnes said essentially on the strength of his victory in the persian gulf war, george h.w. bush is going to sail to reelection, and then essentially another one of the panelists came on and said a year and a half from now, the persian gulf is not going to be on the top 15 issues. could this have a long lasting elon mu, i'm not exactly sure at this point at this divide, which is real as ron pointed out will have an impact when people vote. >> many issues like the economy. tell people what we were just talking about here in terms of inflation and unemployment. >> yeah, i mean, look, i mean, clearly the bid cloud for biden is inflation. it's overshadowing the news he can point to in the economy, particularly low unemployment and the genuine investment boom over $600 billion in private sector investment tied to the three big bills he passed in the first two years. you know, you kind of wonder if it was the opposite, would people be just as discontented, low inflation, and high unemployment. inflation reaches more people. that is the challenge, and people feel it more often. it's like a shoe that is constantly pinching every time you go to the grocery store, every time you fill up, and especially with housing costs and rent. that is the big challenge. he may have to shift his focus more from jobs to what he's doing to try to help people with their daily bills. >> i was saying there's not a stopgap for it. >> the dude cites you tube, mclaughlan group. >> i invited him. >> did you invite him on vacation? >> we appreciate it. fox sports and amazon prime video is under fire this morning after revealing that she sometimes made up quotes from coaches when she was an nfl sideline reporter. thompson making that revelation in the podcast "pardon my take,". >> and i've said this before, so i haven't been fired for saying it, but i'll say it again, i would make up the reports sometimes because, a, the coach would come out at half-time or it was too late, and i didn't want to screw up the report, so i was like i'm going to make this up. first of all, no coach is going to get mad if i say, hey, we need to stop hurting ourselves. we need to be better on third down. we need to stop turning the ball over. >> pressure the quarterback. >> and do a better job of getting off the field. they're not going to correct me on that. it's fine. i'll make up the report. >> thompson facing fierce criticism, saying she hurts the credibility of the gob. tracy wilson says this is absolutely not okay. i build trust with coaches and never make something up. i know my fellow reporters do the same and as you were saying some of the best sports reporters are on the sideline. >> don't do that guys. >> have a wonderful weekend. thanks for being with us. see you monday.
