De oliveira telling the director at i. T. At miami, the boss, an apparent reference to donald trump, wanted to delete the server where Security Footage was stored. Cnn reporting that another maralago employee received a Target Letter from federal prosecutor. Over sees the Property Surveillance Cameras and met with investigators in recent weeks. Its unclear if he is cooperating. So far he is not facing charges. But at least some of the allegations in the latest indictment were based on information he provided. And whether he was involved in any of his sons foreign Business Deals. That is a link that the white house has furiously denied and a link that republicans have yet to establish. But one of the things that republicans were particularly interested in was whether President Joe Biden ever spoke with any of hunters Business Partners. Democratic congressman dan goldman was print for that deposition and he confirmed that hunter biden did put joe biden, who was Vice President at the time, on speakerphone around 20 times in the presence of his Business Partners, but goldman was adamant that no business was discussed and those conversations were casual. There still is no connection of any of Hunter Bidens Business Dealings with president biden. Hunter may have put his father on the phone with any number of different people. And they never once spoke about any Business Dealings as he described it. It was all casual conversation. Reporter a source also told my colleague zach cohen that archer testified that hunter was selling the, quote, Illusion Of Access to his father but never provided any evidence linking joe biden to any of these Business Deals. The same source also said that archer testified he had no knowledge of allegations about a Bribery Scheme involving joe biden and a foreign national. Now, republicans say they feel vindicated after this testimony. And that these Speakerphone Calls along with a dinner where joe biden was present is proof that the president was more intimately involved in his sons Business Deals than was previously known. They say biden lied to the American People and they are vowing to continue to dig into the issue. In fact, a trio of chairman also launched a probe on the same day looking into the department of justice plea deal involving hunter biden. They want documents. They want a briefing. He goes on to say that everything that will happen in russia, objective historical process, more unidentified drones, more collapse, more civil conflict, more war seems to suggest this may be a part of a process to destabilize russia. That may well be the point here literally and figuratively shattering the facade thats been created for the russian people that everything is going well, that this is a special Military Operation on the front lines miles away. Overnight, russia claiming it thwarted a maritime drone attack on two Patrol Vessels of its black sea fleet. It says it destroyed those maritime drones. I want to start here, de oliveira is accused of being part of an effort to try to delete Security Footage at trumps resort. Not being part of trumps inner circle, though. Could that make him more likely, you think, to make a deal . Well, where we are today is that the pawns in Donald Trumps orbit are now being forced to move by prosecutor smith. And each of those pawns is moving in a very predictable way. In chess, pawns get to make one step and one step only. In this case, the steps are finding a Donald Trumpappointed attorney from washington, d. C. To bring them closer into the orbit. Reporter Florida Governor ron desantis returned to the Campaign Trail in New Hampshire on monday where he is looking to reset his president ial campaign after slow start installing poll numbers. Desantis on monday unveiled his economic agenda, which is focussed on cutting ties with china, rolling back President Joe Bidens policies and slashing the federal bure bureaucracy. We are today declaring our economic independence from the failed elites and policies that harmed this nations middle class. Republican voters disagree. 58 said that donald trump would be a better nominee against joe biden than ron desantis. Desantis said he would be more effective executive than donald trump. Is that a type of message you think that will resonate with gop voters . I just i think it was governor sununu who said dont focus on the policy stuff because just at this stage of the campaign, this is not whats going to be beat former President Trump who is his main rival. Yes, voters in the early states who are kicking the tires. Its very true. However, this is not something that will leap you 37 points or something behind like he is. Because its buoyed by his inability to do retail politics. His inability to connect with people. We have seen time and time again where desantis also wont take comments from the press. Obviously not why gop voters dont like him, but it shows that hes not being forthcoming when these voters do want to kick the tires about these various policy proposals. So just really and his lack of willingness to come at trump at all really shows that hes not he hasnt quite figured out yet how to make an impact. And you touched on it a little bit. Theres a lot of ground to make up here. Polls arent an exact science, still has to be eye opening for desantis and the rest of the candidates to see e latest New York Times poll showing 54of likely gop primary voters supporting trump and desantis just 17 . And this is coming even as trump has had all of these legal troubles and various jurisdictions. If all of those things arent slowing down trumps campaign, is there anything that can at this point . I mean, your guess is as good as mine. I think well know a little more after the Republican Debate on the 23rd. Well see which of these challengers are really standing out. But, to your point, the two times so far president has deny indicted hes just galvanized his support. Hes fund raised off of it. Hes managed to turn what would normally be a negative into something that his most ardent supporters have really rallied around him. So, its a very hard nut to crack for these folks because this isnt a rounding error. This is 10, 20, 30, 40 points in some polls that most of these candidates are trailing behind. And we recently learned that trump leadership pac spent more than 40 million on some of those related legal fees. Do you think that revelation would affect future donations at this point . I know theres been enthusiasm. You would think. But no. It hasnt. Legal bills when he was ying his president. So, former President Trump finding someone else to pay his legal bills is like death and taxes in American Politics and certainly hasnt slowed down his donations even from his small donors. Thats where we have seen that enthusiasm is from those small dollar donations. Yeah.
