The City Of Bethany released the following statement on Wednesday regarding water service in the city:
"Like many of the city’s around us, the city is experiencing a large amount of breaks in private and public water lines due to the record cold. Because of the increased demand and increased water main and customer service line failure, system pressure has continued to drop throughout the day.
Sometime over night we expect that water will become unavailable citywide. We strongly encourage conserving as much water as possible until further notice. If everyone can conserve water it will alleviate some pressure on the water system.
