City beginning property tax assessment mailout this week

Home and business owners around the City should expect to see their property tax assessments in the mail soon.
The City will begin mailing out notices for 2021 later this week. This assessment is based on the value of a home or property as of June 1st, 2020. People are encouraged to look it over to make sure all the information on it is correct.
The City has broken down how a tax assessment is determined on their website, but will also be hosting an open house to guide residents as well. This year’s will run from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. March 11th but will be only by appointment.
