It was around 10:30 Saturday night when Lauren Taras got a text on her neighborhood group chat warning that people were flipping cars in the street.
Taras, an Ohio State senior studying strategic communications and business, had been hanging out at her neighbor's house on Chittenden Avenue while nearly 1,000 students partied outside their door at "ChittFest," an annual block party held the day of OSU's spring football game.
It took her a second to register the message, but then Taras remembered that she had parked on the street earlier that day.
She ran down the street, pushing past throngs of partiers, to find people rolling her 2016 red Chevy Cruz over in the middle of Chittenden. They rolled it right side up and some started beating on the car's hood. Someone even stole her license plate.
