Chennai zoo: Lioness dies of suspected Covid-19, nine lions also test positive

This isn’t the first reported instance of the big cats contracting Covid. In May 2021, eight lions at the Nehru Zoological Park in Hyderabad had also tested positive for SARS COV-2.
