The Cheese Zombie was created when some school cafeteria ladies in Yakima made them from scratch back in the 80s. The recipe was revived by Linda Ramos in Yakima during the mid-2000s. She created a new food trend that has become a popular special treat served in Yakima Valley coffeeshops, breweries, and restaurants.
