CAVITE—The provincial government will be carrying out a free circumcision program this summer, Governor Jonvic Remulla said on Monday (April 26).
Remulla said many parents may have decided to postpone their sons’ circumcision since 2020 due to strict community quarantine protocols.
“Ang nakakabahala ay pangalawang summer na sa Cavite na walang chop-chop, tabas-dulo o ang tinatawag na “tuli” (circumcision) na traditionally ay ginaganap during summer (What’s concerning is that this is the second summer in Cavite when there are no circumcisions that traditionally happen during summer),” the governor wrote in a Facebook post.
“Ngayong hapon ay tatawagan ko ang mga mayor para mag-organisa ng libreng tuli drive (This afternoon, I’ll call the mayors to organize a free circumcision drive),” he added.
