The Magog Cantonniers could not take advantage of the fact that the Châteauguay Grenadiers had a short night's sleep. The latter had played in Gatineau the night before where they lost 4-3, in a shootout, against l'Intrépide while the Cantonniers won 4-3 against Saint-Eustache to take first place in the Tacks section.
