EUGENE — Iowa State needed immediate contributions at receiver this season and it hit big on Xavier Hutchinson.
A relatively unheralded recruit, Hutchinson was the No. 10 junior college receiver and No. 76 overall prospect from the JUCO ranks last season. The 6-foot-3, 207-pound junior enters the Fiesta Bowl as ISU’s top receiver, with 60 catches for 726 yards and four touchdowns.
