California man shot dead by police after fatally shooting his sons, their mother and deputy in siege

Deputies responded to a 'shots fired' call on Sunday at 1pm in Wasco, California
A 41-year-old gunman, previously arrested multiple times for domestic violence offenses and with a restraining order out against him, held three hostage 
Two Kern County sheriff's deputies were shot and a third was killed in a standoff with the gunman
Father-of-two Phillip Campas, a Kern County Deputy, was shot and killed in the standoff
The gunman killed his two sons, 24 and 17, and their 42-year-old mother
He went on to the roof of the building and was shot dead by police  
An honor guard could be seen outside Kern Medical as fellow officers stood and paid tribute to their fallen comrade
