The Bayero University Kano has established COVID-19 protocol enforcement marshals, as part of measures to monitor, and ensure total compliance of the coronavirus protocols in the school.
The university management explained that the establishment of COVID-19 protocol enforcement marshals was a surveillance mechanism to ensure compliance to preventive measures.
The university management also vowed to sanction anyone caught violating the compliance order.
This was contained in a statement on Monday by the varsity’s Secretary, Information and Publication Division, Lamara Garba, on behalf of the university registrar.
The statement added that the university management had provided enough motorised handwashing machines and hand sanitisers at strategic locations within the academic, administrative and hostel areas for use.
