Emerson College
Charlotte Palmucci, of Brookline, was recently selected for the Purple Key Leadership Society at Emerson College in Boston. Palmucci is a member of the class of 2021 with a major in theater. The recipients of this honor demonstrate exceptional leadership, service, a strong commitment to civic engagement and solid academic achievement. A committee of students from the junior class and members of the academic and student affairs staff reviewed student applications based on leadership and service, academic achievement, citizenship and civic engagement and future leadership potential.
Hamilton College
Lauro Demb, of Chestnut Hill, is working as a digital media tutor for the spring 2021 semester in the Hamilton College Research and Instructional Design Support Center in Clinton, New York. Demb, a sophomore majoring in creative writing and government, is a graduate of Brookline Public Schools. The center offers research and educational technology assistance for projects and general course work. The center's mission is to empower the Hamilton community to use information and technologies to engage in intellectual exploration, make informed decisions and create and share knowledge. The tutors are prepared to answer an array of questions from how to use Zoom or Photoshop, to how to find electronic resources, accurately cite sources or work through data science assignments.
