BoE fintech head says crypto doesn't 'fulfill any of the functions of money'

The Bank of England’s head of fintech recently claimed the “digital pound” would feature the highest standards for privacy; however, he also stated that “anonymity” was a policy problem for cryptocurrencies that “shouldn’t be allowed to continue.”
