According to a report from Times of India, trekking above an altitude of 3,000 meters has been prohibited in the Kangra and Kinnaur districts of Himachal Pradesh until further notice, citing the approaching winter season. The district administrations have issued these directives, stating that prior permission would be necessary for treks below 3,000 meters in the Kangra district, encompassing popular treks like Triund, Kareri Lake, and Himani Chamnuda.
