A 46-year-old Scottsbluff woman has agreed to a plea deal following her July arrest after authorities investigated a text message to 911 regarding potential child neglect.
Court documents say Scottsbluff Police arrested Carrie Prado after searching her home and finding roughly 30 grams of methamphetamine and paraphernalia in the residence. Police say a child was present in the home at the time of the arrest as well.
Last week in District Court, Prado pleaded guilty or no contest to amended charges of Possession With Intent to Distribute an Exceptionally Hazardous Substance (Methamphetamine) and Child Abuse- Knowingly and Intentionally.
