Pine, citrus and a touch of black pepper — those are all clear notes that drinkers of The Blind Tiger's first all-Kansas-made IPA will taste when they take their first sip.
The Kansas Grown IPA is a recent addition to the restaurant and brewery's menu. This is the first beer The Blind Tiger has created that is made with Kansas barley, hops and water, said brewmaster John Dean.
The beer, which has a color tone that matches that of a Kansas sunset, has a malt character described as bright and bready.
"It's just a mild, easy-drinking beer," Dean said. "There's no harshness standing out. It's got high drinkability."
