CUSTER, S.D. — The U.S. Forest Service is establishing a new Off-Highway Vehicle Action Team, tasked with enhancing the motorized trail system in the Black Hills.
The committee, comprised of 10 members of the public, will work together by going through motorized trails in the Black Hills and providing feedback the Forest Service.
The team was formed after the Forest Service held an OHV summit to take in concerns from stakeholders and partners to further improve the trails.
“Coming out of the OHV summit, we were dedicated to pulling together a group of folks who wanted to work with us, trying to make a great recreation opportunity even better for both our visitors and our residents here in the Black Hills,” said Jerry Krueger, Deputy Forest Supervisor, Black Hills National Forest.
