The Active Transportation Manager for the City of Saskatoon says cycling to your destination often allows you to see things you may not while driving a vehicle and you get to interact with people along the way.
Danae Balogun says Bike to Work Week, which kicks off Monday won’t include a Bike to Work Day with a chance for cyclists to visit commuter stations en route to their destination but they have partnered with Saskatoon Cycles to offer some virtual interaction instead.
If you commit to riding your bike any time during this week you can register for a chance to win prizes. There are also extra prize draws for both children and adults by posting a photo to social media. And if you’re working from home the City of Saskatoon says no problem, you are still eligible as long as you get out on your bike sometime during the week.
